What the... veteran wall??

Interestingly, during the first eight games of the season, Rodgers completed 65.4% of his passes for 2,324 yards with 16 touchdowns and two interceptions (106.7 rating) but during the last eight games of the season, he completed 58.7% of his passes for 1,678 yards with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions (84.2 rating).

Might go hand in hand with Adams missing 4 games during that early stretch. The offense was a lot more focused on using the RB’s out of the backfield and shorter/more high percentage throws. All of which I wish we would get back to doing.

NFC Scout: “He’s playing like a guy that doesn’t want to get hit anymore. He’s throwing off his back foot. He won't step into throws. His mechanics aren’t good. I mean, maybe because it’s the playoffs, he starts doing those things again. But he doesn’t look like the Aaron Rodgers of old, that’s for sure.”

AFC scout: “Kind of like with (Tom) Brady, you rank him higher than maybe you should based on history. But if you’re ranking just this season, he’s goes down my list a little bit. He's been nothing more than ordinary this season.

As a frequent defender of Rodgers, I do have to say he's been having an utterly average season and not earning his paycheck. That being said, good to great game last week and I'm more than happy to struggle through the regular season if it means putting together consistency when it matters the most. Going to need all three phases working to beat the niners so I hope Rodgers can continue making good throws and we keep throwing some of the slants and crossing routes we did this week that have been missing a lot this season!

It’s going to take great play from the entire team to beat the Niners. Not just Rodgers.
He made some great throws yesterday, like the one to Adams to keep the last drive alive. The throw to Graham was at his knees, and Graham made one heck of a play to catch the ball AND dive for the first down.

I am a Rogers antagonist when I see him do things that are frustrating and don't appear to help win the game. I also fully admit that I don't have all the information as to the root cause of a poor game performance. The cameras and commentary are so focused on the QB on TV that it usually a good a place as any to start looking for a scapegoat. Just like politics and the weather, I love to give my opinion and comment on things that I have no clue about.

Anyways, Rodgers played a great game on Sunday and he certainly earned his paycheck imo. We all want him to keep that pattern going for this next game. This team has by far exceeded my expectations for the season so great job to everyone for a memorable seasons and Go Pack!

This post and the one quoted are both complete bullshit, by the way.

I'd probably be classified as a hater in this thread. He had a great game. I would love for it to continue. I'm not waiting for him to slip up again so I can once again voice my concerns. I sure hope I never get used to seeing those issues again. Lets hope yesterday was the return of the Rodgers of 5 years again. In the mean time don't act like "the hatas" aren't pointing out completely valid ad accurate concerns. Idiotic.

When it looked like the Packers were going to hand the game to Seattle, I got frustrated in the chat. Zero “yelled” at me.
I guess he didn’t understand I was just frustrated.
I went through the 1970’s and 80’s.
Yet through all the crappy years, I still remained a 100% Packer fan.
I NEVER gave up my support and love of “my” team.
Back then I didn’t have “Packer family” to voice my feelings to, right or wrong.

It’s not bullshit. Because whenever he’s had an off game, it’s the “talk of the town” around here, some people saying it’s time to think about moving on from Rodgers, wishing we had a different QB, etc. But then he plays a hell of a game against Seattle when it mattered most, and there isn’t much talk about it.

Let's all make sure we go out of our way to praise the guy for finally playing up to his expectations.

The chat and the the websites around have all been very positive about his play this week.

But many go out of their way to bash him, and have done so all season. That’s why the question “where all the hatas” was asked now.

If you ask Aaron Rodgers, he did not play up to his expectations. He acknowledged several throws that were off target (namely the 40 yd TD to Adams). Rodgers has unrealistic expectations of himself, almost as unrealistic the media.

Fans, from what I have read and that doesn't mean everyone, fans basically do not want to more Drew Brees/Tom Brady passes than passes we expect from Anthony Dilweg. Throughout the season, we saw numerous plays that looked like bad decisions (e.g. throwing it deep [and off target] instead of taking the crosser or drag or outlet pass to move chains). We don't expect him to be perfect, but we expect the bad passes to be less frequent than they (perceivedly) were.

Talking about Rodgers antagonists did anyone hear the latest rant by Cowherd on Rodgers, how he doesn't have "it" because he doesn't throw enough int's? I mean talk about reaches, especially since he would often praise players like Brady and Manning for being game managers in their older ages.

I don’t listen to “CowPie”, but it doesn’t surprise me.
Sounds really smart! “Throwing the ball to the other team makes you GREAT!” What a dumbo.

Cowherd is kind of a doofus. What he is saying Rodgers doesn't take enough chances by giving his WR 50/50 balls. This isn't something new, it is something many have said, even some fans have said. Cowherd just tries to word it differently to come off like it's a "new hot take" that no one else has.

So, Holmgren notices the same thing...

“The thing I see is that every once in a while, he will give up something easy to get — and I say this affectionately — get a little greedy, go for the big one instead of just dumping it off. But he did a nice job in the game last week.” - Mike Holmgren

I’ve seen him ignore guys open short many times. Hopefully he will start hitting guys short, which would open up the longer throws and the run.
