Things I want to see out of tonight..

Some performance from Grant, Jackson and the #1 offensive line.. I want them to show they can grind out some yards, especially in situational football.

I would like to see the rotation of the defensive line that will be relied upon this season.. that means I want Neal, Wilson, Harrell get some rotations with the 1's against the Colts 1's.

I want to see some flash from Burnett.. he has been relatively quiet this preseason.. that is a good and bad thing.. I hope the Colts try to exploit him with some situations.

I would like to see a couple of long range field goals from Crosby and the holders.

I will be watching the TE position on offense.. and focused on the inside backers on defense..

I hope Capers makes the corners press a great deal tonight and play less off coverage.. and I would like to see a couple pure zone schemes so if we need to bail out of the press and man.. we have some game time under our belt and hopefully cut down future communication issues..

Additionally... I would like to see Flynn and G.Harrell rotate series a bit.. reason being two fold.. give Harrell some reps with the 2's and give Flynn a taste of spot series action.. simulate a spot insertion in a game and back out.. prep him a bit from having to see action in different situations.

The Colts game I was thinking about was earlier. Manning threw 5 TDs before halftime. And for awhile it looked like he'd have 5 TDs before the end of the first quarter.

I think it was in the Ahmad Carroll days.

I'm not saying the Packers are that bad. I'm just saying that Manning and company will provide a good test of how good they are (or aren't). I'd especially like to see what they could do against Manning without Woodson.

That was the game the Slowick decided to use that insane 7 man blitz package and Manning just threw it out there to where the WR was supposed to go and they burned the DB's all day long.

I want to see Rodgers outgun Manning, as it may be a prelude to the SB.

I want to see

~an OL that plays great
~Burnett play great
~one or more nickel CBs step up
~reporter stop written how horrible Harrell has played when it's not true
~Neal and Harrell step up and not notice that Jenkins is out
~some sort of pass rush (at least for the plays that Capers rushes more than 3)

i dont know why people are saying burnett isnt playing good,ya sure he didnt make big plays like interceptions but no one has picked on him yet which means he probably good coverage on them i think he played his ass off in those games he made some tackles the only thing im concerned with in the defense is the lee and underwood there very inconcistant some of them do good some times then other times they just get beat very easy.concerning the pass rush to idk yet its preseason we havent blitzed to much to say we have a bad pass rush, the players im gonna watch are Neal,Quarless,Wilson(Which i havent seen to much of on the field),and shields overall i see so many people worried about are defense im not so worried they havent splashed because capers hasnt thrown many blitzes and complex coverages at them.

Wow, did anyone see Neal just absolutely destroy whoever the Tackle was on the 3 and out. He must of moved him back 5 yards and almost right into Manning.
If this kid get's to consistently get his snaps in when he's fresh he could bring a instant impact for sure.

Only 2 times i've seen Johnson in the first quarter he put big lead blocks on 2 good Grant runs.

I think we've seen a lot of the things we wanted to see thus far. We've had a couple of defensive lapses, especially on the first drive. But, defensively they've regrouped and hell the backups just forced a fumble on Manning and co and ran it back inside the five.

Rodgers and the first string offensive were quite good though as I told my dad I thought Rodgers started slow missing a few passes I expect him to hit (I know I'm spoiled, all I've known is Favre and Rodgers).

I felt Mike Neal has looked quite good and I'm pleased with how Zombo played.

And I just saw a camera shot of Manning looking furious.

gotta love the "manning face".
I'm a little worried with how tramon williams played against wayne. I know wayne's the colt's #1, but it looked like he could pretty much get away with whatever he wanted against williams.
Burnett looked very good to me, especially for a rookie. He's played solid coverage and he seems to be a physical player.
I'm a little biased toward Zombo because I desperately want to hear announcers say his name more, but i've been pleased with his drive.
I honestly don't think any team can figure out how to defend Finley. And once they do, jennings, driver, jones, and nelson will be there to mop up. Our offense just looks scary good. Plus Grant looked very very solid tonight. Is it just me or does he seem a little faster through the hole?

An offense that was clicking well in the passing game, well is a poor term.. dominate is more like it.. Rodgers, Flynn, Harrell, the receivers.. Finley, Quarless, Crabtree.. heck anyone involved in the passing game were razor sharp.. running game.. well.. it needs work.

Offensive line had a good night in pass protection.. Clifton and Tauscher handled the speed.. something they normally struggle with.

Burnett flashed some big plays..

Defensive line.. other than the early run.. played well in my opinion considering the best player wasn't there.. and yes that includes Harrell.. I thought he played a very solid game.

Still a little concerned with this defense.. but we are missing big cogs.

Almost forgot.. Zombo.. CMIII lite.. hopefully he continues to develop.. but kid seems aware on the field and able to provide a push.

Zero2Cool (13h) : $170 guaranteed. This might impact Jordan Love
Zero2Cool (13h) : Lions are signing QB Jared Goff to a four-year, $212 million extension
Zero2Cool (16h) : I know we moved on. That tidbit just makes me a touch happier.
Zero2Cool (17h) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : For now...
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers wanted to draft Ray Lewis. Ravens stole him.
Martha Careful (6-May) : Happy 93rd Birthday to the Greatest Baseball Player of All-Time...Willie Mays

buckeyepackfan (6-May) : and released CB Anthony Johnson and DL Deandre Johnson and waived/injured WR Thyrick Pitts (thigh-rick).
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Julian Hicks, OL Lecitus Smith (luh-SEET-us) and WR Dimitri Stanley
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Petty, but it's annoying me how the NFL is making the schedule release an event.
Mucky Tundra (4-May) : @mattschneidman Matt LaFleur on how he tore his pec: “Got in a fight with the bench press. I lost.”
Zero2Cool (3-May) : Jordan Love CAN sign an extension as of today. Might tak weeks/months though
TheKanataThrilla (3-May) : Packers decline 5th year option for Stokes
Mucky Tundra (3-May) : @ProFootballTalk Jaylen Warren: Steelers' special teams coach has discussed Justin Fields returning kicks.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Season officially ending tonight for Bucks ... sad face
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as out for tonight's game.
dfosterf (2-May) : Surprisingly low initially is my guess cap wise, but gonna pay the piper after that
dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : I miss having Sam Shields.
