Thank you, WPR.

I'm rooting for Gilbert now, as well. But only after 120 minutes. 0-0 at halftime is great for us. When you train to play 90 minutes and play 90 minutes every match, you can really feel those extra 30 minutes for the rest of the week.

And they'll be playing us on Sunday.

I'm loving watching the match online at ESPN3. It's still 0-0 in the 63rd minute, though, so it's been slow going.

Go-o-o-o-o-o Germany!

Herzliche Glckwnsche, Spanien, zu einen beeindruckenden Sieg. Sie beherrschten Beherrschungszeit und Ihre Hintermannschaft war erstickend. Arschlcher.

(Warmest congratulations, Spain, on an impressive victory. You dominated time of possession and your defense was suffocating. Fuckers.)

the only positive for today is that rock cannot force me to quit the message board by assigning me a mark van bommel avatar

well deserved win by spain, they had a lot more quality in their play and more nuts today. the next 2 (european championship) or 4 years (world cup) the team will grow, the fourth star will arrive someday.

p.s.: i'm having this damn fuckin' octopus oracle paul for lunch tomorrow :physassult:

I was amazed at how utterly Spain squelched Germany today. After the Argentina game, I was expecting an aggressive gameplan from Germany. But it seemed like this game was played mostly on Germany's side of the field. Spain simply dominated, not only in goal-line defense (where they were impressive), but also in shots and shots on goal. They made Germany look tentative and tired. I was very disappointed, but I tip my hat to Spain. They executed superbly.

Thanks to ESPN3 for affording me the opportunity to watch the game online.

old rule in soccer: you can only play as good as your opponent let you to play. spain played a very impressive pressing system. once a german player had the ball, one of the spanish guys was with him. germany had big issues to leave the own half, not to mention to get their good offensive play rolling.

as mentioned, very well deserved win by spain. me and a lot of experts said, that spain is the team to beat in this world cup. today, and not only today we saw why.

beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.

    Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
    Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
    Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : For now...
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
