Seeing these rankings makes me sad as it probably kills my Byron Murphy with the #25 pick dreams.

Aaron Rodgers was supposed to go #1 overall, but fell to #24. So a short limbed DT projected to go #9 could go #30 (and I don't believe most places have Murphy in the top 16, or if they do, that's fairly new).

The draft needs haven't changed. The approach to the draft might have with the free agent signings. We just look at who's under contract in 2025 to know our needs by position. Teams that 'need' rookie players in April won't be playing in January.

Plus, he's just not reliable and can't be depended on to start.

Campbell has been injured last two seasons and also unreliable. What's the saying? The best accountability is availability?

My biggest fear was the Packers seeing zero depth at Safety and using a Grade A selection on a Grade B prospect.

In round 1, if things break where an excellent T is available, I would hope we would take one.

Go Packers!!!!

The Packers re-signing AJ Dillon might have something to say with how many RB we take in draft.

Gute usually draft defensive positional cause in the 1st.

Position values used to be said to go like this.

Top values: QB, CB, Edge, OT
Second tier in the modern game: S, TE

All of Gute's 1st round picks have been amount those except the year they drafted ILB Walker and DT Wyatt.

And it needs to be noted, Gute attempted to trade up to the first round for WR Watson.

But outside of 2022, Gute has gone positional cause in the first round. And only offensive once.

I think the Packers still bring in a DE (Chase Young) or Clowney with free agency or don't count out Justin Simmons to lock up our safety position for years to come. Signing either of those 2 will impact the draft strategy.

If we sign Simmons I see us going tackle in the 1st.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
