The above will not reveal who but not a stretch he's referring to Mike McCarthy considering he covers the Bears.

Mike McCarthy seemed to be at odds with Ted a few offseasons ago. This makes sense to me.

Working for a guy like Ted wouldn't be something I could do.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

I can't envision anyone saying no if that is what he wants. If that is the guys in sure they would let move on. I guess we'll find out whether this is bs or not on black Monday

While grasping at straws here I can see how this could be possible. Mike McCarthy has had his regime exposed after the Aaron Rogers injury and may want to bail while he still merits the big money quality head coaches command. With the clock ticking on Aarons career and a guaranteed 5-6 year big payday contract elsewhere anything is possible. Worse thing that could happen is he gets canned in 2-3 years and collects the big bucks for three years while reading the sunday paper at the Golden Corral Buffet.

Doubt it's McCarthy, that would be career suicide for him and I'm sure he knows it. Don't see a HC/OC willingly leaving a HOF QB with gas in the tank just because he doesn't agree with everything the GM does. I'd lean more towards John Harbaugh who is stuck with a garbage QB for 2 more years after this one that he can't bench because he's costing them over 25m on the cap.

Which issue did Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson seem to be at odds about?

The Texans Head Coach has reported had problems with their GM and Head Coach.

There have rumors about Sean Payton and the Saints possible breaking up.

Bruce Arians was reported not sure if he wanted to come back to the Cardinals in the 2018 (which Arians claims is false)

Bruce Arians, Chuck Pagano, John Harbaugh and fat ass McCarthy are the only "successful coaches" that are on the hot seat. Is there a difference between "successful and highly successful"? I

2) Do you really think McCarthy is in the hot seat with the Packers? Fans, yes... Packers, probably not.

3) The original post, does not limited it to coaches on the hot seat ... so we can't limit it to just coaches on the hot seat. It just says a successful coach (it doesn't even say head coach) wants out.

Why do you assume so much? I don't consider him a highly successful HC. He has won a lot of games with Rodgers at the helm. It's well documented who I feel is responsible for our "winning".

If you were intellectually honest you would realize that because he's viewed as a highly successful coach by others, doesn't mean that's what he is or more importantly what I believe.

The fact this guy covers the Bears leads me to believe he very well could be talking about MM. He, himself, said he's highly successful. He's been thought to be at odds with Ted. He's been around to the point of staleness. It may not be MM, but he's certainly among the leading candidates.

Because it's saying you either agree with me or you are not being honest, which is red herring BS, as a person can honestly disagree...

(Not calling you a tool, just that comments like that make it seem like that)
