(Williams) hopes to sign with a new team before the start of the 2017 season.

“We talked to quite a few teams, but all and all, I feel like I’m in a position to where I can control kind of what I want to do,” he said. “I’m really excited about that. I’m ready to get to one of these teams and help out. And the team that I’m look for is going to be a team, obviously, that is stable and wants to win, so that’s kind of what I’m looking for at this point.”

Teams normally keep 6 CBs and the Packers currently have only 5 clear guys making it with House, Randall, Rollins, Gunter and King... of course... the Packers also like having the last spot for ST/growth potential guy... that guys like Goodson, Hawkins, Waters and a whole lot of UDFAs (and remember Williams, Shields and Gunter all started out as UDFAs)

Any thoughts?

I don't think Tramon is really good enough anymore to be worth one of those last spots that you usually want to use on a development player or someone who plays ST. You only bring in someone like that if you expect them to get on the field and I don't really see it with Tramon.
