Nice.

Looks like they didn't want to deal with the congestion and other issues that come with living in a large city.

Makes one wonder if the all but done deal of hiring of Shanahan didn't make them think twice. As has been stated a few times most new GMs would like the opportunity to hire their own head coach or at least be part of the hiring process.

Though one interesting article to me was that the 49ers didn't completely clean house, they kept their contract negotiator who some suggested had his hands on the draft stuff as well and some wondered if the GM might feel like a 3rd wheel between the head coach and negotiator and who the 49ers owner would listen to most between the negotiator and the GM...
