Until we have 3 dlineman in the middle that can occupy blockers we will not have a good run defense.

That can and will work in a pass-emphasizing league like we have now. The difference, though, as illustrated in the run stats from Yerko's post above, between the relative successes against the run and the bad games is when our Offense goes out and jumps on the other team, taking the run mostly out of their game, making it necessary for them to pass - putting 7's on the board, like Cheesey said - which we didn't do in the three losses.

As for the D Line, I thought Daniels showed flashes of playing as good as last season, but after playing solid for a few games, Guion kinda fell back. It was annoying how he repeatedly got shoved out of the way, then when the run was stopped 6 or 7 yards down field, there came Guion, ramming in from behind and pushing the pile FORWARD several yards.

The other key, which ain't gonna happen this season, but going forward will be getting some quality at ILB. Just having Brad Jones out of there helps, but Hawk has upped his game all the way to mediocre; Lattimore and Barrington are barely adequate at best. We could stop the run perfectly well with smaller quicker D Linemen or getting caught in the NASCAR on running plays IF we had decent ILB play.

Ohhh I have a direct message for the Packers D as well, however, this being a family bar an all, I'll keep the vulgarities to myself.

I do not think talent is an issue on the Packers roster, offensively, defensively or even special teams. What I see on defense is players play out of position and failing to maintain their (perceived on my part) assignment.

Lack of rust is the biggest issue with the Packers defense. It is hard to beat the man in front of you when you don't trust the man next to you.

Do. Your. Job!

There is too much covering for deficiencies that lead to more of what they are intended to mitigate.

Do. Your. Job! And good things will happen.

Use man to man coverage and let Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix roam like a rover.

Each player on defense studies the player across from them and works hard to beat him. Learn tendencies, weaknesses, strengths and just beat him!

If that doesn't work, screw it, turn the Madden difficulty down to ROOKIE.
