Clinton-Dix was No. 14 in my top 100. He was my second highest graded safety. And my board is not the same as everybody else's. I love Lamarcus Joyner. I think he's a smaller version of Eric Weddle. He graded higher than Clinton-Dix did.

For what it's worth, Jimmie Ward was No. 35 and Bucannon No. 41.

Who drafted Collins?
Who drafted Dix?

The same guy wasn't it?

A GM could sit around waiting for a value like Collins until the entire damn team changes over.

Hindsight vs. pure speculation

NO one knew how good Collins would be and no one knows at the same point as when he was drafted how good Dix will be.

A lot of people at this very time last year speculated that Franklin would turn out to be the RB we needed and Lacy would be a BUST. One year later and a Rookie Offensive Player of the Year Award under his belt we got the real answer on that one, eh?

I'm from Alabama. Not a big Bama fan but I do watch them often down here. You are going to like this guy. He's much quicker sideline to sideline then any 40 time suggests and he can play center field back there better then anybody we have had since....oh yeah, Nick Collins.

I've seen him play at least 20 times but whatever. I'm sure there's guys around here that know way more than I do.

As much as I liked Collins, he was not the best safety in football. That was Ed Reed.

I've read Bama fans who watched him for his career who aren't high on him. The opinions on him are very mixed and that's an alarming sign. In McGinn's random quotes from scouts, the majority consider him to be a middle of the road solid guy vs. the opinion that he's going to be outstanding. I conclude that most teams saw Dix as an okay prospect but to Ted Thompson and the safety starved Packers chicken fried steak looked like filet mignon.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Why couldn't it have worked out where Packers make the trade and receive the 26th pick, still drafting HaHa?

Was it set in stone that the Eagles would have taken Ha Ha had he been there at 22?

I'd rather have chicken fried steak than spam.
