What if someone put Morgan Burnett in the same sentence as Defensive mvp? Would you call them crazy?

Of the two I would give it to Grant. However, I was extremely happpy with Newhouse's play based the situation and on preseason talk. Many Packers played well, great team victory. I am really excited about Burnett. Slocum's ST got duped again. Peprah needs to step it up. Any time we beat the Bears-IT'S GOOD.

It's nice to see Grant getting some props, as he's been unfairly dumped on by many fans recently, but I can't help but wonder if people are overcompensating a little bit here. Finley had almost as many yards and scored three TDs. That's a really special game for a receiver. Grant had a very nice game, but not an exceptional one by any means.

His longest run was in the middle teens, so he didn't have one huge run and then a bunch for little or no gain. It was a good job against the Bears.

Ryan Grant had a helluva game that opened up so much for the Packers (interested to see if he was in each time Finley caught the ball). Newhouse stepped up big time and looked like a different player out there compared to preseason. I was nervous when Bulaga went down and was replaced by Newhouse and he proved me (and I am sure many others) wrong.

Ryan Grant deserves player of the game. He found the gaps and hit them full speed, fighting for extra yards.

Morgan Burnett showed that he can play well with Nick Collins out. Would have had 2 interceptions had Walden not decapitated Cutler. Burnett gives me a feeling of comfort with Collins out for the year if he continues to play this way.

I have seen a lot of talk (not here) about how unproductive Clay Matthews has been thus far. I find it to be an unfair statement as offenses probably game plan around Clay Matthews. He is constantly drawing double teams, extra blocking tight ends, running backs etc etc. That alone is good enough in my books. Even with all the attention he gets, he still forces pressure and he also had two nice TFL's, making the Bears guard look foolish. It is amazing to see how many times CM3 gets held as well and it is rarely called.

Grant had a very nice game.. Newhouse came off the bench stepped in and proved that he is ready to take snaps.

Finley had an impressive game.. as did Jennings. So did Bishop.. Wynn has now proven that he can be that situational pass rushing element inside.

But to me.. this game belonged to the offensive line as a group... and they weren't in their zone blocking it off. They were in there handling that Chicago front. Lang is a more physical presence that Colledge was on his best days. Clifton even laid down some wham blocks with force.

To me.. they get the game ball. To me.. this offensive line isn't perfect, but it is improved over last season. And that bodes well for a team loaded with offensive skill players on the team.

My game ball goes to the six men up front on offense.. well done boys.
