At a top of the line football school, with a top of the line workout routine, trainer, and nutrition plan (read:diet) there's NO reason to believe a young kid with the right genes couldn't put on that much muscle without the help of steroids.

Mathews walked onto USC at 170lbs....left at 240lbs...that Muscle Milk must be some good stuff. :-k

Normally I respect your opinions, even when I disagree with them. With this statement you simply made yourself sound ignorant, even if you are being facetious.

I have dropped about 20 lbs since January (because I haven't been working out) and I plan to gain at least that much back by August (my gym membership starts tomorrow). The strongest drug I'll be using?

Whole milk.

It's not hard to do.

Football players on steroids, No Way!!!

Until Clay gets busted, he's not on them.

VR are the water pill boys finally going to accept their suspensions?

I just attributed to Viking envy and looking at the world thru purple glasses. It ruins your vision of reality. (Assuming since Vikings players cheat that other players need to as well.)

You guys seriously got so butthurt over vike's comments? If I were him you're reaction would only strengthen my suspiscion over it, since typically when vikesrule makes comments like these people correctly take them as jokes.

The only thing that annoyed me was the notion that bulking up to 240 from 170 in a 4 year span as a growing man is somehow implausible without substance abuse.

Pack_Fin knows a thing or two about being "butthurt," as he so elegantly put it . . .

Clay Matthews is everywhere. He is on talk shows, commercials, at WWE events, ect. This bodes very well for us IMO, because it proves Matthews doesn't have to leave GB to become a big star, and can in fact become a highly sponsored player in the NFLs smallest city. The more Matthews commercials I see the less I worry about losing him to Dallas or a California team.

Whoaaaa....looks like I struck somewhat of a raw nerve with you boys.

In reality, as my young Finnish friend pointed out, it was meant as humor (perhaps not good humor, but humor none-the-less)

However with that said , Tuomas brings up an interesting point.
Not that it would strengthen my position on whether or not Matthews took PED's (I really have no proof one way or the other), but........
........perhaps, just perhaps that some you have some deep, deep seated doubts that you would never admit.

To paraphrase Shakespeare (with a little non-poetic license thrown in)
"The cheesehead doth protest too much, methinks."

For future reference, when I am making a comment or statement, and if I am being serious, i will preface it as such.
Otherwise, take it with a grain of salt boys.

I don't think anyone had their nerve struck, but rather indicated that it's not out of the realm of possibility for such a weight gain to be had without steroids.

All that Packers_Finland did was give you a reason to spark back that you struck a nerve, ironically enough by then saying the same thing we did.

beast (27-Apr) : Reportedly Packers have UDFAs Jennings and Jones
beast (27-Apr) : OL – Donovan Jennings, USF OT – Trente Jones, Michigan
TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : Interesting draft. A bit shocked that we didn't select an early CB. Definitely have Safety help. Pretty happy overall.
dhazer (27-Apr) : wow the last 2 picks are really stupid and probably will be special teams players Top 10 draft pick next year book it
TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : I think he ended up with a terrible RAS score
dhazer (27-Apr) : Anyone know what went on with Kitchens from Florida? At 1 point he was to be the Packers 1st round and he is way down the board now
