Anyone see Tom Brady on the sideline against Pittsburgh?

If Rodgers displays half of that kinda of leadership, the Packers are in good hands for along time. I am okay with him chewing out players or even a slight stare down.

If Donald Driver is consistently making mistakes out there, then Driver should be held accountable. Same goes for any player.

Although, I agree there are times it is called for and it's not. The Driver play didn't really catch me or I didn't think anything of it. Regardless, the players should know Rodgers' personality by now.

Exactly.

Tom Brady is the best QB of the 00s, easily. I'd much rather prefer a comparison between Aaron and Brady than Aaron and Mr. Regular Season. I don't see Aaron whining to refs when things don't go his way like Mr. Regular Season does. I've seen Brady chew out his players, and if the results make the Pats the best O in the NFL, then why are we worried? I'd always wanted an unstoppable O.

The Packer players seem to like Aaron a lot. I think this is much ado about nothing.

warhawk, how much do you want to bet that if Rodgers just smiled at all of the drops or wrong route running that those claiming he's a whiny baby would say he needs to be more of a leader and get the men in line?

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

Not trying to get off topic, but I think Brady is overrated. It's tough to make that case considering how good he has been this season, but what I'm trying to get at is he's had a lot of help in his Super Bowl runs. New England had a top-flight defense, an evil genius head coach, and for two Super Bowl wins he had the punishing Corey Dillon at HB. Great defense, great RB, solid receivers.

Mr. Regular season always had a surplus of talent on offense, but the Colts defense could never stop the run and that's the biggest different between those two teams.

Resume.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Oh ya one more thing, he really needs to stop with the belt thing, he hasn't won shit yet.

If Rodgers adopted the championship belt move AFTER winning a Superbowl, he would just seem like a dick. It's tongue-in-cheek and a nod to pro wrestling, which he has explained before.

Rodgers is one of the leaders of this team. It's important for him to push his teammates and set a standard for preparedness in the film room and on the field. I like that he got in their faces. He is in no way hypocritical about it either. He is probably harder on himself than on his teammates.

I am rolling in laughter because Aaron has become Brett of the 90's again.. better not note anything about him that isn't shaded in pure gold.

"pack93z" wrote:

Exactly. And it's equally being said whatever he does is not good enough, just as it was about Brett in the '90s. It's very comical. The guy can go play lights out and still have cynics with their bias nitpick things they have no real understanding about.

I was writing an article about this very topic. How I'm reading people defend Aaron like no other, while others nitpick and how drastic it's changed in just a couple years when people were saying "BRING BRETT BACK" before really giving Aaron a real chance.

Yup. And to even think of Peyton, that's right Peyton to Aaron regarding their on-field antics is completely absurd. Peyton whines on the field, looks like he's whining in the huddle and whines on the side line. Aaron's emotions resemble Tom Brady far more closely than Peyton Manning.

I never thought it was a sin to go and get in guys face or raise your tone if something wasn't connecting right. Would we prefer to have him sit there and do nothing?

Look at Carson Palmer in Cincy, he lets his wideouts do the yelling and sits there and takes it. He needs to grow some cohones and tell them to shut and run better routes.

Rodgers is doing everything right in my book, football is a man's game not one where you worry about hurting someones feelings by yelling! lol.

It's a coincidence, but did anyone see NFLN sound FX yesterday?

They had Matt Hassleback mic'd during a game.

He was yelling at players, positioning them, correcting them, etc.

He also told one of the linemen, "I got the skill guys, you get your guys..."

...As in, yelling, motivating, etc.

There is a lot more going on down there (verbally) by the ALL the QB's in this league than we ever get to hear.

Basically the exact same stuff that some are wringing their hands over regarding Rodgers.

This isn't an endorsement of Hassleback by any means, merely an excellent example that fans could hear of what is actually going on down there.

They all accepted his directions, criticisms, etc. (fellow players).

The QB runs the show. Ours is highly qualified to do so. He has earned this authority, (respect) and that much is pretty obvious to all, and I think I can include anyone on our team in that blanket statement.

It was a slow news day.

^ goes along with the mentioning that some complain about things they don't know the full story, but act as if they do. Which is part of our individual opinion and there's no issue with stating it either.

Zero2Cool (2h) : I know we moved on. That tidbit just makes me a touch happier.
Zero2Cool (2h) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
    Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.

Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
    Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train

beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.

dfosterf (2-May) : Surprisingly low initially is my guess cap wise, but gonna pay the piper after that
dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
    Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.
    Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : I miss having Sam Shields.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Not that he's making excuses, just pointing it out
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : That's for dang sure. Make our erratic kicker have no excuse!
