Honest time...these injuries SCREW the Packers big time, whether they are out for the week of practice, a game, or a few weeks.

I believe a team runs off of rhythm which is obtained in practicing and playing multiple games together. These injuries will screw with the rhythm of this team.

In order of importance (imo):
1. If Rodgers is out next week, is there ONE person here who honestly thinks the Packers can beat the Dolphins?

2. Clay Matthews IS the Green Bay Packers defense, as shown yesterday.

3. I'm going to group this one. Finley AND Lee out is going to hurt our offensive production. We run our offense around the tight end. Our back ups are young and inexperienced. It will be easier for defenses to cover our WRs.

4. There isn't much going on in the secondary after Burnett's injury. Peprah has done 'okay' at best. He blew a few coverages yesterday, to be expected by a 3rd stringer.

5. Pickett is a hit-or-miss injury. Problem with his injury is 1. he could stuff the run pretty well and 2. we are already shallow on the d-line.

6. I put Nick Barnett last. Why? Dez Bishop can play ball and after watching him yesterday, I'd rather him start over Barnett anyways. Shoot me.

I didn't bother to put Grant in here because that has been overly discusses, focusing more on the 'now' injuries.

I"m not sure Matthews is quite as important as people think, but count me among those who really hopes we don't have to find out.

As for Rodgers, the team can probably afford to lose him for a game. But more than that, and they're hosed.

Which is why I keep spending every offseason yammering about the GODDAMN OFFENSIVE LINE AND HOW A "SERVICEABLE" LINE ISN"T FUCKING GOOD ENOUGH.

:horse: :horse: :horse: :horse: :horse: :horse:

Rodgers is IMO the quarterback I want above all as the GB leader right now. But I don't care how tough he is, if he's going to keep getting hammered he's going to miss time. A concussion here, a banged up shoulder there, an ankle over there.

Book it.

Sorry, my knees jerked again. It's been another fucking pissy day.

It's going to be a tough year. You don't just replace starters, especially Pro Bowl caliber players like Finley and Mathews. No team can stand the looses we've had. Making the playoffs will be quite and accomplishment.

I saw a QB go from the verge of not wanting to the snap the ball because he couldn't find Clay, to a QB who couldn't wait to snap the ball to throw it deep because he had all day.

One quarter, where the coaching staff hasn't had any chance to gameplan around his absence, is not enough evidence for me.

Losing Matthews would be a big loss, no doubt about that. But its a lesser loss than Rodgers would be. It might be survivable.

If we lose Aaron Rodgers, CM3, or Charles Woodson, season is done. (note that I'm knocking on wood as I'm typing this).

I'm wondering what's wrong with the Green Bay medical staff. Can't they just shoot our players up with the same drugs that keep Favre on the field?
