It sure would be nice to get at least 1 OT position sorted.

How do you think he fared today?

And was it just me or did Evan D-S seem to do ok at LG?

Other than that one play in which he was spun around and burned horribly, the announcers didn't call Evan's name much at all this afternoon, so I have to think that's a good thing. It would be weird having a backup center in that slot, though.

I didn't see a big difference between Dietrich-Smith and Colledge at LG. That's both positive and negative. And it was for only one serie, so I won't make any conclusions just yet.

Lang did pretty well. I think that, with one more year, he'll be a very solid starter at RT. I think that we have the rigth side figured for now. It's not amazing, but it's servicable.

Rookie LT - Rookie LG - Spitz - Sitton - Lang.

Maybe something like that? Our right side would come out as the weaker one if we draft a tackle in the 1st and a guard in the 2nd round (if we won't draft projects, that is), but it would be servicable, to say the least.

Lang was OK.

Hell of an improvement compared to Barbre, but I'm not sure Lang did anything to show he deserves our RT spot other than not mess up as bad as Barbre.

I have to think that Lang has a better chance at making it at LG. College ... is not the answer IMO.

2010 draft is deep for OT's.

Perhaps package Kampy in a trade to trade up to get a blue chipper and another solid prospect.

Here's the thing though RP - Ted has drafted 10 linemen (9 in between rounds 2-5). Of them, only Sitton is making a contribution at the moment.

McGinn makes a good point in wondering if Ted Thompson can scout quality o-linemen - history suggests he can't.

For the record, I was also thinking of using Kampman to get a quality young T - draft or trade.

And I know someone who said that Ted should hire someone to scout OL years ago. That's not news at all. McGinn is a thief!! 🙂

IMO.. Lang still has shown the best footwork of any of our lineman.. and I have yet to be convinced that he couldn't man the left tackle spot unless we get a true young blue chipper over there.. I think Lang will be that good.

D-Smith didn't play a whole lot that I noticed. He was in now and them, but every time I looked Colledge was back in. The one time I noticed, he got rocked backwards by the initial punch from Dallas. A good 3-4 yards.

Lang held up well at RT. He is starting to get a false start problem, and that is nothing a coach can fix. It is up to the player.

No matter what, we need to keep Lang around. backup for 4 different spots at the worse.

I like him. We need a LT. Clifton's hanging by a thread there.

Mucky Tundra (4h) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (5h) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (10h) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (10h) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train

Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
