The Packers are back in playoff position as a wild card team.

No there not. Unless the Bears lose and I think then we still will be tied up with a lot of teams in which will be tied.

About or o-line, I wasn't able to catch the game but come on ... 5 sacks against the Lions or any team is way to much. Come on Ted Thompsonpull the trigger ... bring a new o-line coach or get a talented linemen please for the love of this football team.

Anyone know any good o-linement which are available for a possible trade? Any rumors floating around?

Good thing about the sacks or more of them (if possible) is that they were not physical domination sacks. Two for sure were mental mistakes on assignment. Barber went outside instead of in, and Colledge went inside instead of outside, both on blitzs. Those are easier to fix that the physical domination of the past.

-A hurt old Clifton is NOT as good as a healthy TJ Lang.

-Shifting the line all about is not as good of an option as just plugging someone in for an injured player.

Looks like this O-line is on the right track. The first 3 quarters were sloppy, yes, but once Lang came in...different story.

But it was the Lions so it doesn't count.

GO LANG!

Lang has his fundamentals down. It looks like Campen is actually making our players rawer that they came out of college. Try explaining that one.

The over-optimistic tromadz has some points, though. It's nearly like Lang stabilizes that line. Rushing yards go way up and he did do quite well agains that Lions 2/3rd stringer.

Cliffy's never been much of a run blocker. I'd like to see how TJ holds up against the pass.

It's sad that fundamental breakdowns was a sign of improvement, but it's true.

The fact is that the at least three or four of the sacks were not like you said, physical manhandling. For once, Green Bay held their own one on one.

I believe one sack was credited when Rodgers took off. I'm not entirely sure though if it was credited as a sack or not. I thought Rodgers may of got a a half a yard. Still that one is irrelevant anyways. For sure one Rodgers held the ball too long and two others were just fundamental breakdowns. Overall, the offensive line protected Rodgers much better. Obviously not where you want it to be yet, but it was an improvement.

Need Spitz back in at center, Wells gets manhandled.

Yes, we most certainly are. We have the tiebreakers over the Bears by reason of head-to-head and better division record. Do a little research before spouting off to a guy who takes the time to exhaustively calculate these scenarios every week for this board. :magnifyglass:

We won in spite of some high school junior varsity line play, I guess that is good.

We has silly mistakes pre-snap, at the snap as far as blitz reads and communication, and physical mistakes during the play.

Seriously, it is painful to watch this line play... overjoyed with the win and progress in other areas.. but this and penalties tempers any long term excitement for the season.

the problem as i see it is there are as many weak-links on offense as there are potential super-stars. the weak links in our o-line and running game make the play-makers do all the work and rectify all the crap they leave behind in penalties, fumbles, loss of yards/stuffed runs.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

Would a loss have served more for the overall team?

And that is exactly why it is so painful to watch.. of how potent we are now and how we could be.

Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.

Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
