Boy i'm so glad everyone is getting hyped over people saying we will win the division, can't wait for the Viking fans to give you everything you give them. What is it alot say to them its great to be paper champions but do it on the field.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Under the radar under the shmadar.

For years, especially the last 5 years or so, the only attention Green Bay got was because of Favre, in fact that is still the case to some extent. I get so tired of hearing about the Giants, Cowboys, Patriots, Jets, Broncos, Eagles and Steelers. A little bit of hype isn't bad for a team. The more predictions of 12-4 we get the better. It beats all the attention the team got last year.

Edit: wording, for clarity

Screw 'em. To hell with that under the radar thing. I want to say, we ARE the Green Bay Packers and we are the best damn team in football. 6-10?
Kiss my ass on your 6-10...That was last year, you are SO 2008.

Bring us your best. Come on home Barney, we got something for you. Paper champions? Don't like it? Do something about it. Below me, all you other teams and your fans.

This is the Green Bay Packers, the most storied franchise in the NFL. We say we are going to kick your ass. That's right. We think your team sucks.

Do something about it.

Under the radar my ass.

Or something like that.

+1 to the last two posters for understanding not only my enthusiasm but for understanding that after the performance the Packers gave it'd be impossible for them to stay "under the radar".

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

You can tell Vikings fans all you want, but they're the NFCN winners every year in September.

So you don't think that this optimism can be justified? You don't think that this defense is looking great? All we needed to improve on was a pash rush and an O-line. The pass rush is there and even without that O-line, we put up some great numbers. Just think of what we can do this year. Especially if the O-line has progressed a little.

I'm not saying that we have won the NFCN, but I do think that we're no 6-10 team (anymore) and that it'll be a battle for the crown with 3 teams, most likely. Even most Vikings fans acknowledge this.

You can add me to the list. Part of the fun of being a sports fan is having people all around the country say good things about your team. If the team really is good, they will take it in stride and it won't be a problem. And if they're not that good, well, they didn't deserve it anyway. There was plenty of hype about the '96 Packers, right from the beginning of the season, and it didn't bother them at all.

this means nothing but i guess its nice. I'd rather them surprise everyone by dominating on the field tho. just hope we can meet our expectations. last season sure was a disappointment

I'm glad we are making the change over to the 3-4 look easy so far and I have always had high expectations for our offense but I'm with Hazer on this one. Not that I want the Viking fans giving us crap because we can't win in the regular season . I just don't want to declare us the champs until we are the champs.

I hope we are for real and not just a preseason juggernaut. I'm excited about what I see so far and hope it continues.

Speak softly and carry a big stick. We aren't speaking softly and I hope our stick doesn't get broke once the season starts.
