So, what's everyone's thoughts on what the regular season record is going to be. I'm pulling for 10-6 and maybe squeaking into the playoffs as a wild card, but I'll be happy with a solid 10 wins.

Preseason is a big measuring stick for the season. Don't really care if the games are W or L. But being able to see how young players that are only really seen for a play or two and on special teams are progressing, and knowing whether they will be serviceable if needed during the regular season.

Seeing the intensity that players and units are playing with, does usually correlate to how they will be playing when the season starts.

First team vs First team is a good gauge also.

ILikeThePackers39 has said pretty much all that needs to be said about this. I guess I will just add that during Mike Holmgren's best years, the Packers always kicked butt in the preseason. You get a vibe in the preseason that usually carries over into the regular season, although it's not 100% reliable by any means. This year so far there is a very good vibe.

I had a good feeling about the capers hire; once I had a chance to look at his past coaching (how his teams did and what his work ethic was).

What I saw last season was a D that was uninspiring and a D that was easily read. (other then our secondary).

What I have seen thus far is a D that is REALLY inspiring and a D that means business and that is more difficult to read.

Not that we have gone against some great teams - but so far it looks like we are handeling business.

What did we all talk about in jan-june?

1. Stop the run
2. Bring on blitzes that were unpredicatable
3. Which would in turn create more sacks and sloppier passes for our guys to pick off.

The only thing I have to say is ... how many turn-overs have we had so far?

ya ya I know bills and browns ... lets see how we do vs the titans Oline and then lets make some solid judgements.

So far I am liking our Oline also this year.
To be honest the only thing I wanted out of our O this preseason was a better Line. So far looking good ...

1. We got a better Line
2. A nice blocking FB
3. A healthy jones
4. And a finley that is wearing some velcro on his gloves

I'd say we are off to a good start -

am I one of those guys that thinks the pack will win the big game? ... Let's just say I think they got a good chance and at 1-34 odds ... I couldnt help but to throw a few at it 😉
