I strongly disagree. I don't really know why expectations for safeties are through the roof here, maybe it's because of Nick Collins, but Clinton-Dix is a very good player whose risk-reward plays more often work out than not.
If anything, I feel like his flaws have been magnified by lackluster pass rushing over the last few years, combined with some sub-par corner play.
He's a 2016 2nd team All-pro, he's the #3 safety according to PFF and the fact that he's worth a 4th to another team with just half a year left on his contract shows that people in the Redskins organisation think he's any good.
The more I think about it, the more this trade pisses me off, really. The only really good reason I can't imagine trading him like this, is if there's some locker room stuff involved... Something that wouldn't surprise anyone, I guess, with the way he's been talking about leaving for a while... Or if Josh Jones has somehow shown that he's the next great thing in the last 6 days, which seems highly unlikely to me.
