If Igor isn't available, I'd look into signing Smith. Good year in 07, well expierienced in his 3 years with Pitt. If we can't bring in Igor or Holliday, I say sign Smith. If we don't get atleast ONE expierienced guy from the 3-4, I'll be disappointed.

Interesting that GB is pursuing safeties. Perhaps Capers sees Bigby and Rouse as non starting options in his defense or perhaps Ted Thompson knows that they need depth at safety and can't be moving Charles Woodson to SS due to injuries.

My guess is it's probably both.

I think Anthony Smith has some starting potential so it wouldn't be bad, but again the defense is only as good as it's front seven.

Collins did play poorly down the stretch of the season specifically against New Orleans and Carolina, but the team has been talking up Collins for years and getting rid of him when he finally has a strong season seems conflicting.
