After catching multiple Hail Mary passes with the season on the line, the Packers expected big things from receiver Jeff Janis in 2016. To date, he hasn't delivered. Janis appears as a third-string receiver on the Packers' initial depth chart, calling into question whether he'll even make the 53-man roster.

The more I read, the less it appears he would have been accepted to an Ivy league...or even Trump U.

Read the playbook. Tattoo a cheat sheet on your forearm. Do something!

Jordy Nelson was a high 2nd round pick and it took him 3 years to crack the starting lineup.

I've been saying all along that Janis has been developing as expected.

7th round pick from a small college who did nothing but run by much slower defenders and caught a bunch of passes.

His speed kept him on the roster his rookie year.
2nd year he stayed because of he developed into a great special teams guy and improved as a receiver.

Janis is not going anywhere.

He may not crack the start I g lineup this year, but if he keeps improving he will see the field more as a receiver.

Just because he dropped a pass in practice doesn't mean he is close to getting cut.

Imho the article is a joke !

Sentiment aside , Janis may have great speed , but if he can't execute the correct patterns or executes the correct pattern incorrectly , then he is just taking up space . Many WRs have not had blazing foot speed , yet they had IT between their ears . They did their homework and knew how to beat their defenders with deception or an unexpected move . Yes , speed is a great asset against CBs with lightning quick recovery skills , but if your not dependable and your QB can't depend on you being where you should be on the field , then it's time to look for a WR that will be .

Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.

Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.

Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
