This team needs to be able to step on the other team's neck and not even give them hope.

If Mike can't do that, then maybe he should go lead an encounter group or something.

Shades of last years game against the Falcons again tonight. Get out to a big lead and then coast the second half. I will say the team did a decent job containing Charles given who they were missing on defense and eight sacks on Smith, but way to many extra chances in second half. I seriously shook my head when they coughed up that 4th and 17 on the final Chiefs TD drive.

Defense tried some different stuff with a big lead to evaluate Thomas and have Clay back outside. Palmer played well. Things went downhill when he was out. I don't think the team was really up for the challenge in terms of where the dominos fell. Honestly there were a lot of defensive goofs in the game, but the hope is that they don't become habit. There were a couple blitzes just failed miserably on the part of a couple young defenders and on the edge clay looked lost a couple times. Probably needs more time there again to refamiliarize himself. Overall, defense made a lot of big plays tonight that you got to be happy about. There were some rookie mistakes out there and a totally bs call on ha-ha, but I was pretty optimistic after that performance.

Not sure what the big to-do is. They get a gift personal foul call and a drive saving terrible spot. Their "2 minute drill" took like 18 plays INCLUDING the terrible spot to give them a fist. And yet we still win by double digits.

Totally. Honestly, and I know no fan wants to hear this, but with that lead, I think they were doing some evaluating on defense. There were quality reps there for a couple guys. In the NFL, it is trial by fire.

That 2nd half was brutal. Experimenting or evaluating should not happen if it could cost the game. They played a good first half - and they had me believing that they were a different D than last year, and now I am not so sure.

C'mon D - don't even give them a glimmer of hope. I want to see the opponents get crushed into oblivion.

Fans REALLY shouldn't overreact to this. KC is a good team. They are much better than they were tonight and their defense got stronger as the game wore on. Do you think the Patriots fans are still bummed about giving up 3 touchdowns in the fourth quarter to the bills last week? Hell no!

It's annoying when the Packers "play not to lose", but the bottom line is you don't lose. We lost style points with poor D in the second half, using up timeouts so we couldn't challenge the bad spot, running into the line twice and then not converting on 3rd down to let the Chiefs get the ball back, etc. We shoulda won by 20 or 30 instead of 10. Just win baby. Also, the season is still early. Also also, this team is already earning the reputation for being battle tested and handling adversity. Also also also, we have a QB that can lose receivers left and right and still throw for 5 TDs. We will get no sympathy from any other fanbases. Take your wins like men!
