Boykin must be worse off then they realized, or could be with Adams and Janis developing, we may be sayiong good-bye to Boykin soon or he will be put on IR.

I'm guessing it's some mix of these

[list]
  • They like having 5 healthy WRs available and Boykins might not be healthy for a while

  • Maybe they don't think Janis is ready for the#4 WR spot yet

  • They didn't think the ST drop off from TE Taylor to WR Dorsey would be that much, after all Dorsey is a physical WR that's willing to block and they had him blocking for both return teams in the preseason and sometimes on the coverage units.

What, if anything does it mean for Bostick?

Is he getting with the program? Is he gonna start gettting more playing time?

Bringing in Dorsey probably doesn't directly effect the TEs, but if anything it means more WRs sets, less TE sets (though again it more likely probably means nothing for the TEs).

My guess is Bostick isn't going to get more playing time until the coaches start thinking he's practicing better and/or out playing Rodgers and Quarless.

Well they didn't sign another defensive lineman. Hopefully that's a good sign for Datone. Janis probably isn't ready for real game snaps yet and Boykins still out for a while. I won't be surprised to see Dorsey getting some play time Sunday.

    Just speculating.

Signing Dorsey sure makes one wonder what is going to happen with Boykin.
