We are sacrificing the TE position.

I've seen Lacy, Lang and the TE babysitting Sherrod because he is such a liability. There's a very nice play against the Jets where Lacy does the job of Sherrod while he stands contemplative.

I really hope to see Adams, R.Rodgers and maybe Janys more involved in the passing game, so far our game plan is as simple as throwing to Jordy and if he is triple covered then doing something with Cobb.

Janis is a WR not a TE, but I would very much like to see him get some game time. đź‘Ť

That being said, somebody needs to prove he has the goods to be an offensive threat.

Bostick seems to have the most big play potential/atheltic ability. Should be interesting to see him out running routes when he gets healthy.

Why is Ryan Taylor still around again?

What exactly does he do on special teams? He's no Steve Tasker that's for sure. Feels like keeping him on the team solely for special teams with no room for growth is a luxury at this point. Hell, when they drafted him for the sole purpose of helping on special teams it felt that way.

I don't recall , but does anyone recall The Packers using a two Tight End set other than a jumbo set 10 yds or less from the end zone. I mean as part of a regular offensive plan. :-k

Richard Rodgers is currently listed as the #1 TE. The question is when will a 100% Bulaga return. Sherrod can't wipe his a$$ without help ! This requires a TE to insure that our QB is not getting run over. Given the proper chance, I believe R.Rodgers may be our TE answer. 🤔

I think a lot of the lack of production by Packer TEs has to do with the tendency to use the wideouts the way a lot of teams use TEs - short yardage and goal line - Cobb last week, Nelson other times, etc. Apparently, McCarthy, et al trust them to get open and hold onto the ball more than the TEs, and I can't say I disagree with that.

I don't see Bostick as any great answer. He blocks less than a lot of TEs, and he gets open less than most WRs. As for Richard Rodgers, if he can stand out as a blocker AND catch the ball reliably, maybe. I was touting Quarless in the preseason, but he has been a disappointment too. I'd still like to see Stoneburner get his chance. Barring any of them breaking out, though, I'm fine with maximizing the use of the wideouts. However, I really do wish Janis was included in that.

dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.

Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.

TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : I think he ended up with a terrible RAS score
