Hind-sight is 20-20, Ted Thompson made the pick without the benefit of hindsight. Had Rodgers not worked out you would be telling everyone how obvious the red flags were that a potential #1 pick fell to #24.

Again, you have to give Ted Thompson full credit for the pick, if you're going to give him full blame for the bad picks, otherwise you show hypocrisy and confirmation bias.
