so disappointing. Teddy will probably get a 7th round pick for him. He loves them. There is no pressure on him when they fail. [grin1]

Ted Thompson's best two picks were Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers. They have been doing some great things together. Ted can also draft the hell out of some wide receivers.

His early round defensive linemen have been less than steller though. We all know it. This is certainly fitting right in with his struggles in that department. This trade is as much of an admission of failure as it would have been to outright cut him.

No one is perfect and he is no exception. But I am glad we have him as our GM and proud to be a fan of a team who is always in the playoff hunt year after year. Sometimes we lose sight on how good we have it.

23 other teams, with GMs whose job is to pick good football players also passed on Rodgers. If it was such an obvious move why didn't he go #2? Hind-sight is 20-20, Ted Thompson made the pick without the benefit of hindsight. Had Rodgers not worked out you would be telling everyone how obvious the red flags were that a potential #1 pick fell to #24.

Again, you have to give Ted Thompson full credit for the pick, if you're going to give him full blame for the bad picks, otherwise you show hypocrisy and confirmation bias.

The draft is my favorite event in sports. I follow it very closely. You have taken a no brainer situation and spun it in your own mind into something it isn't to validate an inaccurate view of the situation so you can do "battle" with me.

If Jadeveon Clowney had fallen to our pick this year should Ted have taken him? If he did, would he be a genius? How about Khalil Mack?

If this isn't a clear example of conformation bias I have no idea what is. When it is pointed out, you misdirect (aka move the goal posts) and try to change the subject.

Your routine couldn't possibly be more transparent.

Try coming to a conclusion after doing research instead of doing research to support your pre-conceived conclusions, then perhaps your arguments will actually have some merit.

I don't mean to delve too deep into this other than to say uffda is right...There was a point in the mid teens where it did seem that ARod could fall due to teams not needing a qb.

Clay Matthews was an excellent trade up and I said in this post or another that he always seems to find value while shopping at the dollar store. That doesn't sound like I don't credit him. I do...he's excellent with UDFA and late round guys. He's not so good up toward the top. If he was half as good at the picks that should be good players as he is at finding ones who shouldn't, this team would be dynamic. Sadly, we're carried to the playoffs by Rodgers only to lose because we have no defense and he struggles to put the right pieces together.

I would argue hypocrisy in stating what you have about me. Accentuate the positive and dismiss the negative and throw a little confirmation bias alamode on the side. Rich. Are you more balanced than I am in your postings? Really?
