side note- JerseyAl's article also mentioned when the crowd was to make noise. I really get irritated with fans who try to do a wave when the offense is out there. If the group starting it is anywhere near me I tell them to sit down and shut up and wait until the defense is out there. Some listen some don't. Fortunately only about 1/4 -1/3 of the people jump up so it fizzles out real quick.

I didn't know it was wrong to do the wave while the offense was on the field.

I've never boo'd anybody but refs on bad calls but if that's how someone entertains themselves then by all means boo away. I don't think it's as big of a deal as some people make it out to be.

2) Be quiet when you should be quiet:

When your team has the ball–especially in a key situation–you should sit on your hands, put your vuvuzela away and hold your breath. When your quarterback has his arms to his side and palms to the ground, motioning for the crowd to be quiet, he’s not reenacting “Angels in the Outfield.” He wants you to be quiet.

Zero I don't literally say "Shut up" or "Shut the fuck up" or anything remotely like that. I do say wait until the defense is on the field. 90% of the time when the wave is being started the people are not anywhere near me. I do let the people in my area know they shouldn't do so when the offense is out there. Like you, almost all of them say, "Oh, I didn't know." All of them are at the stadium for the first or second time. It should be an enjoyable experience for them whether or not GB wins the game. I have seen other old timers tell people sitting near them as well.

If they're throwing their jock out on the field and not even playing close to their ability, it is our place as fans to call them out on it. Plain and simple.

Especially since we're owners.

I am more of a swearer than a booer. However if my beer was a slushy like fans experienced Sunday, I wouldn't be able to make any promises.

All kidding aside it sure seemed like the team responded to it though.

I'm one who would never boo the team. I won't even boo opposing teams or players, I personally think it lacks class. The players hear when fans cheer, they also hear when the fans are quiet. Want to make a statement, don't make any noise, not much would get their attention more than 80,000 people not cheering and not making a noise.

The ONLY ones I might BOO would be the refs![grin1]

If the Packers are playing bad, I'd just sit quietly.
But I don't fault anyone that decides to boo. It's their right. Even if I disagree with it.
Maybe it made a point to the players that mediocre play won't be accepted here.
Back in the 70s and 80s, we expected the Packers to lose. A win was celebrated like it was the super bowl.
Back when I was in junior high, I was made fun of for being a Packer fan. (High school too).

But I remained true to "MY" team, win or lose. I still do.

With the extreme high cost to see a game today, people "buy" the fee to cheer or boo.

On a side note, when I have been at games and the Packers are doing well, sometimes I just sit and listen to the crowd when the Pack makes a big play. Try it some time! The power of 70 thousand-plus fans screaming is something to behold! When you just take it in without yelling yourself, you really FEEL what the power of it is!

Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.

Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
