I wonder how Matthews would look at ILB. It seems like you could disguise a blitz better from ILB; We know Matthews can cover against the pass; With B. Jones and Francois injured, help is needed at ILB; Matthews, Perry, and Neal arguably have been the most effective LBs in general, so I like the idea of all three in the game together.

Very much so, he looked a lot more natural and quick from the right side. I'm not sure if that's because he's more used to it (as he played the right side in college) or he played harder and meaner after being benched or the LT was playing worse than the RT or some combo of thoses.

But he played well enough at ROLB, that I kind of want to see them let Perry focus there. And rotate Matthews around trying to put him on the RT and/or worst OL instead of the LT every time.

Also Neal looked better in this game against the RT. Which is interesting seeing as Perry looked better against the LT.

Good thoughts guys. I think that is what coach meant when he referred to situational football.

Does anyone think that Perry plays better on the right side rather than the left side? I saw him go on Matthews side a couple times and he caused some havoc. Infact I think he got both his sacks on that side.

Neal looked just as good if not better then perry this game ...

but back to perry since we are talking about him - as far as him on the rt vs left - well 2 things

1. ya someone whom is right handed and used to that side will probably do better ... and

2. thats the QBs blide side - so easier to sack and cause him to mess up.

I'm not quite as troubled by the loss of Matthews due to the emergence of Perry and Neal. I actually think this is going to be very positive for all the LBs on our team.

Perry could very well have a great game against BAL. McKinney may be slipping bigtime, and the rest of their OL has underperformed. Some of that is Flacco having to hang onto the ball longer with all of his new targets.

I see Perry rocking McKinney this Sunday, and Neal crushing Oher to sack Flacco endlessly.
