Here's an interesting option: Terrell Suggs.

A couple of years ago, the rumour was that Ted was heavily pursuing Adalius Thomas, and Suggs is a similar player to Thomas.

Suggs could be a great DE/LB type hybrid, something akin to Julius Peterson's role on the Seahawks.

The only potential draw back with this move is that Suggs is likely to get franchised, and there is no guarantee that he'd want to come to Green Bay if he is an UFA (might not want to go to a small town team).

I seen on nfl network that the ravens are in a tough spot, they have Ray Ray, suggs, and scott all FA and they figure they will only be able to sign 2 of them but they also said that Ray will probably take less money to stay in Baltimore.

Yeah Ray is just that kind of guy. He wants to win. And Terrell gives them the best shot.

Nnamdi Asomugha is a FA after this year. Anyone think we should take a shot at getting him?

If he was an UFA, he'd be at the top of my list, even above Peppers/Haynesworth.

I am in love with Nandi, and since the Packers play a lot of Nickle, Nandi/Al/Charles would be an amazing trio.

The only problem is that you've got Tramon who has improved a great deal, and Pat Lee who has talent and basically red-shirted this year. Ted and mike might not want to risk the further development of those two players by bringing in a sure fire starter like Asomugha.

Plus, after the whole DeAngello Hall fiasco in Oakland, I'm guessing the Raiders will not hesitate to Franchise Nandi.

I think a few offensive linemen would be great. Maybe sign Gross and then a less spotlighted guy.

Didn't Suggs sign an extension before this year? Or was that Scott? I know one of their linebackers either Scott or Suggs held out and then got signed to a big contract.

I could be wrong though. I think i'm right.

And it would be great if we could get either Haynesworth or Peppers. Preferably Haynesworth, because we have Cullen Jenkins coming back.

Picture this on the line starting: Jenkins, Haynesworth, Pickett, Kampman.

Picture this on passing downs: Someone good in draft, Jenkins, Haynesworth, Kampman.

Where I bolded it, I think we should get a pretty good pass rushing DE in the draft. Maybe 2nd or 3rd round.

Suggs refused to sign the franchise tag contract for money reasons but ended up signing it later on.

Thats probably what your thinking of.

Pickett doesn't belong. He's sucked this year.

Yeah I know, which is why it'd be hella expensive for the Raiders to tag him again.

Regardless, when has Al Davis ever cared about spending money to win? That's why I think Nandi will be tagged again, and unlikely he'll be a UFA.

As much as I dislike Albert Haynesworth after what he did to Andre Gurode a few years ago him being a Packer would really help out our D. I just hope he doesn't pull any on field antics if we did get him to sign with the Packers.

Are you serious, or are you drunk and rambling idiotically?

Pickett was by far our best run stuffer in 07, and this year he's played with ankle injuries and elbow injuries. He's proved his toughness. He's so big that he is a lock to be double teamed most of the time.

Any solution moving forward regarding our poor run D must involve Pickett. He is simply too valuable as a player (got payed, but still played hard on game day, amongst other things) to be shipped out of town.
