North Dakota has its own central bank, iirc. (Not privately owned, but owned and controlled by the state.) Hence they are in much better financial shape than other states.

Minnesota - corn fields in the south, pine trees in the north. The only they have worthy of puffing their chests over is beautiful lakes offset by bat sized mosquitos. I'll visit, never live there.

NoDak still sucks. They are the reason Minnesota hasn't fallen into Lake Superior or drifted down stream of the Mighty Mississip.

As awesome as the Packers offense has become, their defense has regressed, dramatically. I know it's mostly because of said offense that they can afford to play a more ball-hawking/aggressive defense, but they are one concussion or broken finger away from unraveling at the seams. I know you guys have a talented young backup, but there will be no way he can keep up with Aaron's numbers. And that will affect how the defense will approach the game, big time.

Regardless, enjoy your time 'at the top', Puker fans. You're time to be in the pits will come. Then we can argue over who has the worst team in the NFC North, Vikes or Pukes.

Has the D really regressed? Look at the last 3 games. You guys couldn't score double digit points. The Lions only scored 2 TDs and one was in garbage time. Was the Bucs game a blip? I'm hoping so. What really matters to me is that we managed to shut down Megatron. I'm betting Megatron gets the All Pro nod this year. He's been tremendous and we took him pretty much out of the game.

Right on DakotaT. You can put Montana into several of those categories you mentioned with North Dakota...big budget surplus...no sales tax...missile silos everywhere...black gold in the form of coal (more than anywhere else in the planet), plus millions of acres for guys and gals to hide out if they skip out of state like Minnesota for tax evasion or being a Vikings fan.

As for the Packers defense...hey, they're 11-0. Look at the teams at the top of the defensive categories...say the top ten. Whadda ya know! They've all lost a game or two or three or more. Collins going down hurt, but a win is a win. Statistics are for losers. The scoreboard when the time reads 0.00 is what counts. Oh gee, the packers have been on the good side of the scoreboard 11 times this season....17 in row dating back to last season.

But like I said, your defense benefits from a stellar offense. (And stopping the Vikings offense isn't a feat of strength).

Perhaps, because Montana is as big a deadbeat state as North Dakota.

Some American states receive more in federal spending than they pay in federal taxes; others receive less.
Over twenty years these fiscal transfers can add up to a sizable sum.

From 1990 to 2009, the federal government spent $125.2 billion in Montana but collected less than $60.8
billion in taxes.

From 1990 to 2009, the federal government spent $102.6 billion in North Dakota but collected less than
$53.9 billion in taxes.

Now that we have looked the leeches, let's take a look at a couple of states that actually keep the country afloat.

From 1990 to 2009, the federal government collected $1,016 billion in Minnesota but spent less than $503
billion in taxes.

From 1990 to 2009, the federal government collected $630.1 billion in Wisconsin but spent less than $543
billion in taxes.

And while we are at it, let's take a looky at GDP, shall we...from 2009
Minnesota - $258.5 billion
Wisconsin - $239.6 billion

Montana- $35.0 billion
North Dakota- $31.6 billion

Federal Taxes minus spending, 1990-2009, as a % of GDP
Minnesota - plus 199%
Wisconsin - plus 36%
Montana - minus 184%
North Dakota - minus 154%

While Montana and North Dakota folks are constantly screaming about government spending, when you ā€œpeel the
onionā€ and look at what states get the most Federal money, those are two of the big ones who have their hands out.

While both you and DT brag about your great surpluses, you two are like the guy that wins the lottery and still collects food stamps.
Yep, not only do Montana and North Dakota contribute less in both GDP and Taxes, they are still some of the
biggest hogs at the trough....i.e mooches, free-loaders and deadbeats.

So, in closing boys, after all of these decades of supporting your sorry asses - what say you pony up and
pay back the rest of the country for your years and years of beggar like existence.
