I missed most of the 1st Q so I missed most of the aggravation. It was apparent that with Williams out it hurt not only the secondary but the whole defense.
GB offense took a while last year to come together. May see the same thing this year too. (Despite the 42 points in the opener.)

Then again, Charles Woodson had two interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Woodson had the best of both worlds. he got beat a few times but they, for the most part, only cost FGs. And he had the turnovers that kept Carolina from scoring and let GB cash gets some points.

Woodson for Williams
Bush for Woodson

I'd have rather seen Sam Shields on Steve Smith, Bush on the other guy, Lafell? and let Woodson make Cam throw errant passes or run out of the pocket.

But I too would have liked to see Shields, with some safety help, on smith.

Edit: I think I misread your post, I think we're agreeing here but I've written my post as if it was contrary to your opinion.

BTW, I was saying what I preferred to have seen. I didn't say I was making the decisions. That assumption wasn't necessary.

An ugly win is better than a pretty loss or moral victory anytime.

I would sooner they have their "bad games" now rather, against weaker competition, than the end of the season. They should motivated to get it together this weekend if for no other reason than it's "da Bears". I was glad to see them hold Tramon out, this week is more important.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.

Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
