So............at 4:00 this morning our phone rings and it 3rd daughter Robin (the rattlesnake shooter) calling.

"Dad, I really cut my fingers bad on a broken glass. I need to get to the ER ASAP "cause I'm bleeding all over the apartment."

"What the hell are you doing up at 4 in the morning?"

"You know I'm a night owl and never go to bed before 5AM. I had the glasses in the dishwasher and I pulled this one out and it shattered in my hand and cut my first and second finger to the bone."

"Cool........How bad is it?"

"Really bleeding bad."

"Jeez Robin, you're one/half block from St. Pats emergency room. Wrap it in some clean cloths really tight and walk there and have them fix it. I'll come in and pick you up at the ER."

(One hour later at St. Pats ER)

Nurse Sonya.." Hey Bob.. see it's all in the family. Boy, between you and Robin you keep us busy."

"Yeh, well at least this time it's not me."

"When was the the last time you were in here? Seems like you kind of live here. We all get a charge when you come in from one of your hair-brained stunts."

"Zip it Sonya, or I'm going to go back and change your grade in PE class when I had you."

So, Robin gets sewn up to the tune of 24 stitches in her fingers and we go back to her apartment. Two of the other tenants are up and about and ask what happened. Robin tells them the story and both Cheryl and Luke say in unison.....

"What, it wasn't your Dad this time."

I get no respect!!!!

Guess the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree......it falls, gets badly hurt, and ends up in the ER![grin1]
What makes me laugh is the fact that she called you first! I can see her now....."Hmmm....should i go to the hospital......or call Dad to tell him what i did....Hmmmmm...." LOL!

Porforis, and all the rest of you.............I've got an operating suite in the orthopedic wing named for me. Shit, I've paid for it ten times over. On the golf course all the doctors start comparing what vacations, motor homes, ski trips, etc., that I've paid for them. We have AFLAC accident insurance and I am way ahead of them on money I've received for injuries, stitches, broken limbs, and surgeries.

And it was Robin's shooting hand that got cut. Man....now I'm going to have to get 'Liz Cavelier' from the show "Swamp People" to cover for me when I go traipsing around in rattlesnake country. Which is everywhere out here.
