I see nothing wrong with it.
Like was already said, if you don't like it, STOP them!
If you can't stop them, whose fault is it?
Today's Badgers game is a good example. The Badgers lead 24-0 at the half.
Michigan came out swinging in the 2nd half, and outscored the Badgers 28-24. Had the Badgers thought they had it won, they could have ended up losing. You keep the pedal to the metal until the game is 100% secured.

Wah!!! Wahh!! We can't stop you so you should show sportsmanship and stop yourself, wahh! Because we want your pity!!! Wah.

Get up and over it. I'd rather a team keep it floored against me than lay down. That's a helluva a slap in the face. Here, we'll go "easy" on you.

Give me a break.

For the record, because apparently as noted above that it is considered weak to show sportsman ship.. I don't have an issue scoring or running the offense.

But in the case of the Badgers in the shout discussion, running a play action naked bootleg with the second string QB and throwing a bomb isn't in there normal wheelhouse of plays. Run your normal offense as you would against another opponent, not showcasing your supremacy in mockery.

It is not about pity, it is a way that you choose to conduct yourself or your team, throwing bombs up by 50+ shows little or no respect for the game or the opponent.

Each to their own.. but the only aspect of that game that I call four upon is that play, one where the defense was collapsing down because we were running at will on them.. then going over the top on them for a big play quick score.

But doing like the Badgers did in the last drive against Indiana or Michigan today.. that is still flexing your dominance but not trying to light up the score board.

Wisconsin ran the ball like 30 straight times to close out the game.. dominate, decisive but not trying to roll up 80.

Wah that.

Because every college kid is going to go on an have a long professional football career right? Yes, curb them, don't let them have fun even though it might be the last time they get to enjoy organized football.

I think that's a crock of bullshit. If I was 0 and the other team was 80, I could give two damns less if they were throwing hail mary's to start the 4th quarter. If my defense can't stop them, why the hell should they stop themselves?

Putting a label like 'oh wah poor sportsmanship' on that is a load of crap. Whatever happened to it being JUST A GAME!?

Each to their own opinion.. I have mine, you have yours. I stated why I hold mine and where I hold it.. you don't have to agree.

That is the beauty of life.

No! My opinion is FACT!!!

lol ... yeah I get what you're saying, but I think too many in society too worried about others feelings on things that we proclaim are just a game. We say it's okay if you win or lose, just make sure you have fun. One could say its not fun getting stomped on, but then find a positive in it. You have no pressure after you're down by 40, so just have some fun. Enjoy it to the fullest you can and don't whine about the other team lacking sportsmanship or whatever.

Life's to short.

I really would give two shits about what another thinks of me.. never really have held much weight in that... your mind, your thoughts, why care.

What I do value in life is showing another respect and respecting the premise of things such as sportsmanship. Win or loss, remember it is a game, but there is much to be said about the values of a man/woman in either situation.

I know in this world that respect and honor for another are dying.. doesn't mean it has to die within me.

If I was on the losing end.. I certainly wouldn't pull a Haley and not shake is hand.. but I also probably would voice my opinion of the situation as well.

Pack93Z.....the naked bootleg the Badgers ran in that game was ONLY the QB running for the first down, so that they could run more of the clock off.
Problem was, the other team did a HORRIBLE job of trying to tackle the guy.
So the QB had a free run to the endzone.
Was he supposed to tackle himself?
I mean, it's the backup that NEVER gets any playing time, with a chance to score. Should he not do so?
And the Chiefs game.......the points in that game, i'd hardly call that "running up the score".

Yes, if it's a high school game, your up 7 touchdowns with 5 minutes to go, you back it down. A coach needs to figure out, at what point are we so far ahead that there's NO chance of us losing? Then make the decision. But if your backups are in, you can hardly ask them to NOT play their best. After all, they will being trying to earn a spot for next season.

I am not talking about the final run.. not at all.

I am talking about the PA bootleg that they threw for 70+..

70+ yards doesn't happen if the defense does their job.

Zero2Cool (30-May) : Bears are the first team to be selected for Hard Knocks

Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
