Sad to say, we need to have a common method for handling this issue in both leagues for consistency sake.

We have one player already inactive for 19 days and this weekend that team has inactive players.. so for fairness sake, we need to have a method for dealing with this situation out front.

My recommendation is this, freeze the roster at this point and have the league commissioner set the starting lineup for said team. No player transactions can be made from this team until the owner returns or a new player can be found to replace it.

Publish in the comment section that the roster lineup has been set by the commissioner for transparency sake.. if there is any disagreement with the lineups, they can be suggested before the weeks schedule has started.

The point here is to try and avoid basic forfeit weeks to any teams.

Thoughts?

It's you and Kev--yes?

Commish-wise?

I'm all for that.

Yeah, as long as you don't replace their guys from the waiver wire, I'm fine with this

The only objective that should be established here.. is to provide some sense of competitive balance amongst the league.. no gimme weeks.

Stop talking about "competitive balance" when Dodd has had teams score 261 points on him in 3 weeks while I have had 410 points scored against me in the same time. That's 50 more points a week.

Just kidding though, I agree.

Don't have to tell me about it.. I got 217 points hung on me in another league.. I scored the 4th highest in the week and got waxed by 50+... lol.

I am sucking doughnuts so far this season in the win column.. and Foster is getting thirsty. 😉

Hey man, that's fantasy football. It's not about how many points one scores or are scored against him, only that he scores more than his opponent that week.

In my main league, a pay league with a $55 buy in, I am doing TERRIBLE! Haven't even come close to winning a game yet and it's the league with all family and close friends. I was so stoked about my draft and thought I was going to dominate. A Ryan Grant injury, Ryan Mathews bust so far, Favre sucking, Colston disappointing and I have a recipe for sucking. At this point, I'll be lucky to win a single game.

Inactivity is a downer. We'll have to keep note of those who are active and invite them back next year and make note of those who are not and block them next year.

I am extremely strongly adamant against changing anything with the leagues, which is why I posted information far ahead of time, to avoid changes after the season started.

I am also strongly adamantly extremely pissed at those who are inactive, but not to the point where I'll change rules after I said specifically, no changes after a said date.

Sorry for upsetting anyone with this news. But changing things mid season is what got me pissed off in the other league last year. I'd be rightly viewed a hypocrite if I were to change rules in a PH league.

Wow, Nonstopdrivel and The_Green_Ninja are inactive for 24 days and two months respectively.

The_Green_Ninja wanted to MANAGE one of the leagues! I made the right choice there.

Nonstopdrivel, I just don't understand. I know he's alive and poking the ladies about.

Okay.. so we are going to allow freebie weeks against teams with inactive players?

I understand and respect the no changes concept.. but I think not dealing with the issue creates more of an issue than staying with the hard line.. either way though..
