Well.. IMO.. he is not going to want to settle for a bargain veteran deal.. unless he is willing to sign a "on year prove it" type of deal.. I cannot see a reason to add him to the franchise.

Maybe I am wrong.. maybe he just wants to prove that he can succeed outside of Ryan's defense.. but I doubt it.

Last year I would have said hell yes. This time around, it depends on whether he has a realistic view of the world. If he'd be willing to sign a low-money short-term deal with a goal of rehabilitating his career (and obviously helping the Packers win), I wouldn't mind picking him up.

But you just know he's going to want (and probably get, from some desperate team) stupid money.

One-year deal I wouldn't mind. Backup plan in case Brad Jones doesn't play well somehow. Plus there's no cap, so I don't care what kind of deal they dish out.

Hey guys, Pats fan here. Thing is, your D-coord Capers is recent Pats coach, right? So I'm assuming the kind of 3-4 he runs there is similar to New England's - although I'm probably wrong. I have heard that Clay Matthews is a better fit in GB's 3-4 than NE's.

With Adalius, he wasn't the strong veteran locker room presence that NE needed and chemistry is one of the reasons he was let go. Additionally, his skills in that scheme were really brought into question particularly last year.

So I think it's mostly his name that still carries around some excitement, given the big contract he signed with NE in '07. But if you guys do get him, it's a bit of a risk on team chemistry and other intangible levels for probably marginal talent gain.

Plus, he'll probably reunite with Rex Ryan at the Jets. They don't care about that team stuff anyway.
