You know, I don't buy that it'd take a second-round pick. I think the draft pick would be based on performance value. If he rushed for 1,000 yards in Green Bay, then the Packers give up a third-rounder for example. So this idea that it's too much for Thompson, I'm not buying.

The Packer people thing, I'm buying. That could be the roadblock. There aren't ways around that. There are ways around value.

As I said in my original post, Buffalo will not make this deal until after they play.

^ While I agree with your posts in this thread Porky, I wonder if Ted would be inclined to give up even a third rounder for Buffalo's third-string RB.

I think if B-Jack gets injured (or proved to be a disaster), then Ted might consider the possibility of getting Lynch. Until then, I think he decides to roll with what he already has. I believe you said as much in the opening of your post....

Two of his knocks on Green Bay were the cold (ahh Buffalo?) and there wasn't anything to do (Applebees!)

I wonder if Rodgers talking about adding Lynch violates the rule about a team official speaking about another player on a opposing team that is under contract?

If so.. I wonder if there will be any fallout because of it?

Hows this for a name, Donald Brown from the Colts? They just lost Bob Sanders for the year and we could send them one of our safetys or even one healthy and Bigby?
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Rodgers is saying he welcome Lynch

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/09/15/aaron-rodgers-on-marshawn-lynch-bring-him-on/?related=1

"Bring him on," Rodgers said, via Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "He's a great player."

Lynch and he were on same team at Cal

I think Shawn posted that about Rodgers a few posts north, but that's a new link based off the same article. I liked Greg's comment about Ted talking about his personal life, lol.

I think I've heard players say things like that when asked about possible trades. Players are not under the same restrictions as management, I suppose because they don't have a say in these matters, at least not officially.

It's interesting that Rodgers played with Lynch at Cal. Rodgers might be a good influence on him. I'm not crazy about the idea of getting Lynch, but I think having Rodgers makes it more likely, assuming that Ted has not already ruled it out completely.

Mucky Tundra (13h) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
