Most QB's, if you have everyone covered, are pretty much dead in the water. Vick can take off (as we saw) and kill you with his runs. Had the Packers game planned for him, maybe he wouldn't have done so good. With Vick, you need to keep him in front of you. Force him to beat you with his arm.
We got lucky to get out of Philly with a "W".

Michael Vick is not a good pure passer.

Michael Vick is a very good QB.

His completion percentage or yardage has never been very high, but you can take such a different approach with him at QB.

He has proven that he can play behind a horrible O-line. When everything collapses around him, he'll still make a play. That's something that was painfully obvious when the Falcons went from playing with Vick to without him.

Or the time he buys so his receivers can get open. Really, tell me which target he's had in his career? He was that Falcons offense. I wouldn't be surprised if Vick had another amazing game. Especialy against the Lions. And if Kolb struggles and would be benched, Vick could put up career numbers in the passing column.

He's thrown 73 TDs to 52 Ints. That's nothing staggering. In this day and age it's quite mediocre.

Thing is, he ran for 23, as well. That's 96 to 52. That's a whole lot more respectable, already.

Don't mean to be a jerk. I don't wish injury on anyone. But I knew this would happen.

I knew Vick wouldn't play 16 games. He will miss next week. Possibly more.

As much as people here hate Favre, the guy started every single week. You can't take that for granted.

You can safely assume Vick won't start every single week.

Sad thing is, Vick was having the best year of his career up until the injury.

I stand by what I said. I don't want Vick on the Packers. MM doesn't repeatedly say "availability" for nothing. There's a reason he stresses that.

Vick's numbers this far are also a mirage. The Lions and Jags have the two worst pass defenses in the league. And he caught us off guard. He was going to prove himself to me in the Skins game but got hot-dogged nastily.

As happened every year he's played except 1.

Watch Rodgers run. He has the sense to slide before someone hits him. Being a tough guy QB is stupid. I prefer the guy who will be playing every week.

Dog murderer for sale cheap in PackersHomeB.

If you figure he will be back in 1-2 weeks, he is a steal for your back-up (yet starting in real life) QB.

Twinkie comes to mind.. I think he just passed his "bye" week for his starter QB, and played McNabb.

As an example, I will trade for McNabb.

Fantasy-wise, just remember he was putting up 45+ a game before he got hurt, so the risk/reward for someone that can hang on to him is great.

I cannot, because my starter is on a bye this week.
