I said my point, you're too god damn dense to understand it. You should be a defense lawyer for criminals that are blatantly guilty. You're good at deflecting the focus of what the issue at hand is in favor of your convoluted bullshit.

Don't get me wrong, I like you, I just can't stand how dense you're being on this subject, that's all. Nothing personal. I'll still kiss you where you like me to tonight.

Let's try this again, for the 392,294th time. DONE.

The reason Favre has got a free pass is because he is WINNING.
If he falls apart this season and causes the Vikings to lose several games, his free pass will be quickly revoked, and all the B.S. he has pulled over the last several years will bite him squarly on the butt.
And he will deserve it.

If this were college or HS ball, I would say that yes, no matter what, ever player HAS to do their two-a-days/training camp.

But, like I said, this is the NFL. These are grown men. Many of which are fathers and uncles. There's even a grandfather. That line of 'everyone must be there' becomes VERY fuzzy at this level. No blanket statements like 'leadership is dependent on attendance' can be applied here.

Because this is the NFL and grown men, the requirement by teams are on a case-by-case difference. Circumstantial.

If this wasn't the case, the Vikings should have cut Rice and Harvin along with Favre. Hey, injury or not; rehab or not.. they should've been at camp. Right?

Sociopaths are more charming than narcissists.

People bought Favre's act for a long time, some are still willing victims.

Owens was just too self absorbed to pull off that act for very long. About a year, then he would go off.

It isn't so much a double standard. It is who is a better manipulator of public opinion.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

That's true Dexter. Favre knows HOW to pull the strings to get the results he desires.
T.O. doesn't.

Favre is never blasted for being a diva? Really? Seriously?

Thank you. That's exactly what I was thinking when I read this article. Favre takes a lot of criticism, most of which is deserved in my opinion, and it has increased during the past couple years.

On the flip side, Terrell Owens and Ochocinco are not universally criticized. I think this article is based on a selective reading of the facts.

Personally I can't stand either Favre or T.O. Ochocinco is not quite so bad. He's annoying at times, but he's mostly just a goofball. And sometimes he is actually funny.

I like Ochostinko.
He's VERY entertaining and a goofball. I think most of what he says is in jest.
I LIKE that.
While T.O. is just a douche.

Ok whatever. I think your being dense on the topic. I don't think my points are are BS or anything

1) If Strahan did the same thing in 2007 and no one criticized him, then isn't there a double standard there too with Favre and Strahan? Strahan is extremely relevant to this whole conversation.

2) I think there is a huge difference between Favre and T.O. Its like comparing apples to oranges.

3) Favre has gotten critized a million times in the past few years. There are so many negative aritcles which is why I think this guy's article is stupid and one-sided. I even said Favre is a drama queen or diva or whatever but that still doesn't mean this article is right.

IMO, there is no double standard because the circumstances of Owens and Favre are completely different and a double standard is not even possible because I bet there are more negative columns out there about Favre than Owens. Because Owens is washed up and no one cares about him.

If his whole point is that there are people that don't criticize Favre, thats stupid, that doesn't prove a double standard, its possible those people just don't care because there are more interesting things to report on about Favre or Strahan or whoever. As opposed to Owens who is a bum and there is nothing else to write about him.

Oh here's more from T.O.

"This week, Owens took it a step farther, pointing to the perceived lack of criticism regarding Favre's "mistakes" in Week One against the Saints. Owens believes that if he or Ochocinco had skipped camp and made mistakes in Week One, they would have faced greater criticism.

"When it comes to us we're held to another standard which is not in a positive light when it comes to the media, so I think . . . when it comes to skin color I think it does have something to do with it," Owens said."

WTF?

Seriously, Favre didn't get trampled on for Week 1. You have two articles in this very NFC North section blaming Favre for a loss.

And color? Really? What a baby, and bringing up color is so stupid at this point. May be Brett Favre should talk about how he took so much criticism for the loss in NO last year in the NFCC game and hardly anyone talked about Peterson's fumbles. RACISM!

Martha Careful (24-Dec) : I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Oh I know about Jacobs, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mimic Zero lol
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : Jacobs was just sat down, Watson re-injured that knee that kept him out 1 game earlier
buckeyepackfan (24-Dec) : I needed .14 that's. .14 points for the whole 4th quarter to win and go to the SB. Lol
Mucky Tundra (24-Dec) : Jacobs gonna be OK???
Zero2Cool (24-Dec) : Watson gonna be OK???
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : Inactives tonight for the Pack: Alexander- knee Bullard - ankle Williams - quad Walker -ankle Monk Heath
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : No Jaire, but hopefully the front 7 destroys the line of scrimmage & forces Rattler into a few passes to McKinney.
packerfanoutwest (24-Dec) : minny could be #1 seed and the Lions #5 seed
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : We'd have same Division and Conference records. Strength of schedule we edge them
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I just checked. What tie breaker?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes its possible but unlikely. If we do get the 5th, we face the NFCS winner
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ahh, ok.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (23-Dec) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think the revenue share is moot, isn't it? That's the CBA an Salary Cap handling that.
bboystyle (23-Dec) : i mean game becomes irrelevant if we win tonight. Just a game where we are trying to play spoilers to Vikings chance at the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, I would guess ad revenue from more eyes watching tv
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (23-Dec) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (23-Dec) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (23-Dec) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (23-Dec) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (23-Dec) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (23-Dec) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (23-Dec) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
