Just Saw on Sportscenter that Percy collapsed on the sideline during camp. Said that trainers worked on him for 10 minutes before the ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital. Also said he got sick before he collapsed so I'm supposing this has something to do with the migraines. Hope it's not too serious.

Vikings' Percy Harvin Collapses At Practice

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WCCO)

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin has been taken away from practice in an ambulance after an apparent migraine headache attack.

Coach Brad Childress says Harvin was able to speak, but was disoriented for a few minutes after he passed out at the beginning of Thursday's practice.

Harvin was taken to an unspecified hospital.

Harvin has been battling severe migraine headaches throughout his career, and was not practicing with the team during much of their training camp in Mankato. Harvin's grandmother died two days into training camp, and then his migraine headaches flared up.

The one-time NFL offensive rookie of the year award-winner was on the field for the first time in more than two weeks on Tuesday.

Head coach Brad Childress said he had a long talk with him on Sunday, and acknowledged Harvin would need some time to get back into prime condition.

I wish him speedy recovery and if he chooses to get back upon the field.

But that leads to a question, if you struggle with severe headaches.. why would you put your mental stability into harms way further in a high contact sport as this?

Constant jarring and hits just cannot help this situation.. Non... your in the medical field.. any direct relationship between migraines and sudden and forceful movement

I get migraines all the time. I can't see HOW a football player can even TRY to play when he has one of those. I can't even sit up when they get bad.

I hope he's ok. I don't like to see that happen to anyone.

This is bad...

I hope everyone does the right thing and put the boy first.

I may not be learned in the anatomy but surely these kind of dehabilitating migraines would be made worse by a contact sport.

In related news, I have read various times from Journalists that Percy Harvin over-exaggerates his migraines and has always had a lax attitude.

To them,

Fuck off and be ashamed. You have a duty of honor as a journalist. Embellishment of facts suck.

That's just plain WRONG.
Obviously the people writting that garbage never had a migraine, or they wouldn't write that crap.

How would it be possible that a person with these kind of brain problems even be medically cleared to play the game of football? Wouldn't the league be opening themselves up for one massive lawsuit by the Harvin family? It isn't the days of rub some dirt on it you pussy.

We are talking about this kids life, not the "all in" season for the Vikings.
