If Brent is playing, @Vikings will be our toughest game this year.

I agree that the patriots will be tough as well.

Which regular season opponent will be our toughest this year (and why)?

da Bears. It won't be easy to hang onto all the INTs Cutler throws at us.

In all seriousness, I think the Pats and the Vikings. The Pats because they're either going to surprise everyone and dominate the AFC, or they'll fall flat on their faces. I don't think there will be a middle ground this year with the Pats.

The Vikings only if it's with Brett. Without Brett, we sweep 'em by simply putting 8 men in the box and stuffing AP. The Vikings D won't be able to stop us from scoring 23+ points and I don't think TJ or Sage will get 23+ points on us.

I'm always worried about the Lions, Rockmolder. We've played some heartbreaking Thanksgiving games against them. The Packers seem to have a penchant for losing the games they really should win.

I don't think the Pats will be the toughest opponent. I live in Maine and see a lot of Pats games, and they're definitely not the team they used to be. I am going to Packers @ Pats, so I hope I'm right haha.

The tough opponent will be Minnesota if (when) Brett comes back. No explanation necessary.

No one said Eagles.

Friggin' Kolb looks good. Real good.

Consider it a warning. We are in for a dog fight our very first game.

I have a case of that Peroni - whatever-the Italian brew-- if we lose vs. my Franziskaner if we win riding on that game.

My next door neighbor is putting a big screen against the lattice under his deck so that we can watch it from the pool...

This is a pre-emptive move to keep us from burning down our respective homes (fireworks) when one or the other team scores, etc.

I'm not saying this is our toughest opponent, but I will say I am not going to be AT ALL surprised to be 0-1.

I'm going to go with Philadelphia because of their defense more so than their offense. I am really nervous about the speed of Trent Cole on the edges with this game.

I will also say Falcons. Reason--away game and its after an away game with the Vikings.

You guys ever see this new thing they have on nfl.com (its new to me). Its pretty sweet.

If Favre plays.... the Vikings, they have a good club, if he doesnt, they wont be too tough and I'm not big on playing the Bears this season, they could be better than expected

Any division game is dangerous. Regardless of who has a better team. I think the Packers have the best team in the Division, but the best team doesn't always win.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
