When I went to my nephew's graduation last month, there were a few kids that were honored for going all the way though school (all 12 years) without ever missing a day. Now THAT is impressive. They received a well deserved standing ovation.

Seriously, though.. That's impressive. I think in the last 5 or 6 years that I've been living in Minneapolis I recall calling in only one time sick. Asthma + pneumonia = bad news, apparently.

It was never an option for me to "tough it out" when I worked in a hospital. Going in with a viral or bacterial infection is irresponsible, and quite often not permitted in healthcare. It's not just about you. It's about anyone you may infect.

Very impressive IM. Best I've done was 2 consecutive years of high school without missing attendance which I got a little gift voucher for.
