"Human interest stories" used to comprise a small segment of the news. A bit of leavening to brighten the mood before signing off. Now human interest dominates the news and very little news actually leaks through. It's frustrating.

cheesy...I know...PFT (profootballtalk.com twinkie) seems to do everything they can to find or make a rumor ever since schefter went to ESPN and seems to dominate them in the rumors department.
