Like Gates, he has uncanny body control and ball-adjustment skills. In his last eight games last season, counting the playoff loss, he had 44 catches for 575 yards and 4 touchdowns.

My opinion.. pretty close to when he was drafted.. is that he has the talent to become a top shelf TE.. does he have the maturity to handle success?

We shall soon see.. personally I think this kid may have a stumble or two yet before he truly grabs hold of his full potential.

I don't think Ted Thompson has got the recognition for his good picks from the "haters".
I also have been surprised on how good some of the players he picks are doing.
