Why do NFL re-treads get paid to commentate? I get people like scheffter or McShay who at least get rumors about trades, or provide some basic breakdown of who Bob Jones, the left tackle lineman from Middle of Nowhere State is.

But have you ever watched any of these doofus ex-jocks provide any insight that makes you think, "Wow, I never thought of that" or offer any prediction any more accurate that what any of us could provide?

but, at that time Favre was "retired" and Rodgers hadn't really shown to be a franchise QB.

Brohm was a highly praised QB by ESPN and i foolishly believed their "professonal" opinions.

I was very high on Rodgers after the game against the Cows. I still stand by the 2 QBs on a team. Use the 53rd guy for someone we can use as if you get to the point of the 3rd QB, season is done anyways. Might as well get someone off the street and pray he's the next Kurt Warner.

When Ted Thompson picked Brohm, I was immediately thinking trade bait. I was happy for the pick. I was also under the impression we'd pick up a veteran QB at the time.
