The Peprah hate is because he's just a bad player.
The hype about him out of college was that he could do nearly everything. The big problem in the NFL is that he's very average at everything. He can't cover TEs man to man, which was one of his strong spots. He doesn't get up and cut off the lane or come up and make the tackle. He isn't a CF like Collins and he doesn't make the hits and help in run support like Bigby.
And really, Bigby's not even that good.
There's a reason why he was behing Rouse on the depth chart and let go in favor of the very mediocre Giordano. He's not that good.
I don't see him making the roster, anyway. If we carry 4 safeties, he'll have to beat out either Bigby or Martin. He's not as good a player as Bigby and he's about as good as Martin. Only Martin's our best STs player.
