O'Brien Schofield is way overrated. People just want a feel good story because he got injured. He was never more than a 5th rounder prospect.

Not to mention he has a name like some snobby Boston prep-school whiner.

(BTW, I have no idea how good OS is or isn't as football player. I'm just making a gratuitous comment on his parents' choice of naming.)*

Having watched the Badgers weekly.. I happily disagree.. kid can get to the QB..

Yes he would be a project to convert.. like Hughes to LB.. but being that he has a knee and will be drafted later on.. we have some time to develop him.

Give me one pass rusher draft pick who doesn't get to the QB. The College level is different. Schofield didn't look like an early prospect. I'm fine with us taking him with our 6th or 7th, just because I think we can add these guys without pressure of them becoming solid backups since we have decent depth all-around.

Name ones that have went against talent like he has weekly.. Brandon Graham is the only one that comes to mind. He uses leverage well and can play the run effectively..

Would he have been a round one prospect.. nope.. but 2nd or 3rd without a doubt.

So tell me... why you think he is "over rated"?

93z- you caught my interest with Eric Norwood. Since you seem to know more, do you see him falling to a 3rd rounder or a definite 2nd?

Looking at several value charts.. most have him in the mid 70's to mid 80's... if that gives you ideas.

Personally I would take him before Kindle.. prior to the injury information leaking out... so that might cause Norwood to rise.

Beyond his skills.. he seems like a natural leader on the field.. that in my estimation is something we need more of.

O'Brien Schofield had a shot at going 3rd round to a 3-4 team. A lot of people were excited to see him stand up and play upright at the Senior Bowl.

He never got the chance. I could see someone drafting him and putting him on IR for the year in hopes he'll heal up and develop for the following season.

He won't be picked today though.

I totally agree. He ran circles around the man we drafted yesterday.

I think that he won't fall as far as people think he will, but he will be a 3rd day pick. We should take a shot at him as early as in the 4th. Maybe the 5th if there's someone we can't pass up on in the 4th.
