I will eat some unpleasant article of clothing (my own clothing) if they spend no. 23 on that kid. I'm not saying he won't be a good pro receiver; I rather think he will. I'm saying he's not the BPA at that point, and certainly not when the real roster needs are considered.

Put differently, +1 to dfosterf.

Just so it is clear... I would rather go a different direction but I won't be pissed if they would pull the trigger on this kid at 23.

Of our 53 sacks last year, 4 of them were against Arizona in the playoffs.

All 4 of those were "on" Aaron Rodgers, according to PFF.

Looking back on that game, I think I could debate putting all 4 on him.

9 were "on" Aaron Rodgers during the regular season, again, according to PFF.

That leaves about 40 QB sacks on our o-line, not taking into account whatever whiffs they made that were subsequently put "on" a running back.

I wonder how many of those sacks put on Aaron were due to trying to make a significant downfield play.

My recollection is that we had to adjust our entire play scheme because our pass protection

SUCKED

I am hoping that either the 23rd pick is a tackle, guard or safety.. but the first two will be handicapped if chosen.

Why?

Campen will be waiting to coach them.. I find it pathetic that we stuck with a guy that has shown little ability to develop talent along the offensive line.. a guy that has shown little ability to teach proper reads, technique and schemes. I sit every now and then and watch games.. and see the same happy horse pucky from that group, especially the interior play... it boggles the mind that MM doesn't see it and make the changes.

I can't seriously understand what the hell they insist on holding onto him for.. he has shown little to date.

So I will choose not to get pissed at our decision not to draft a lineman in the first, even though we seriously need an influx of talent in the position group.. but I am seriously disappointed that Campen is still in his post.

Hey.

I got no problem taking an OLB, a CB, a safety or even Iupati or even Pouncey if all the top [strike]5 [/strike]6 OT's are gone...

(Yes, I'm back to 6, lol)

Okung, Campbell, Davis, Williams, Bulaga and Brown.

So, I am being FLEXIBLE this year, and depending on WHICH OT and WHICH CB or OLB or safety we are talking about, I might be convinced to take something besides one of those 6 ...

But Dez?

NOT with this combination of red flags. Not in the context of what will be there as an alternative unless everything goes into bizarro world in the 1st round. Not for a guy in a position that is so very easy for us to rapidly upgrade IF and WHEN we need to, in comparison to the ones we need to upgrade NOW.

Do I think he will be good? Hell yes! Do I think he will be in some sort of trouble within 3 years? Absolutely.

Maybe they are waiting for his development as an o-line coach like they have done with Colledge as a player. We are supposed to be patient, ya know.

(Just that silly-assed excited to be there look on MM's face while timing Dez yesterday made him semi-fireable in my eyes, so I guess I'm the wrong guy to comment on friggin' Campen, lol)

I wish I didn't get NFLN at times.

"I haven't did anything wrong to nobody"

Oh man, I think Dez just called yours truly and all like-minded individuals OUT.

At least I think that's what he was trying to do.

Hey Dez, Javon Walker told me the same fucking thing, pal.

The only thing missing is Dhaze coming in with HIS usual bullshit, along with Porky making a perfectly reasoned argument on why we should pull the trigger on a Dez at 23.

+1 for the art.

Now I get to sweat this one for 3 weeks, lol

You're right. Where's Dhazer? Bryant could be our new Crabtree.

Anybody besides me notice that Eugene Parker represents Dez Bryant?

Who the hell is Eugene Parker?

One might ask...

He's Michael Crabtree's agent.

Dez: "I'm the best wide receiver in the nation."

Parker: "Yes, you are the best!"

Dez: "That's BULLSHIT me being passed until the 23rd pick, I should have been like 3rd."

Parker: "Yes, you should have been 3rd."

Dez: "I want 3rd money."

Parker: "You got a twin brother named Michael?"

I'm hoping our pick becomes an All Pro, I really don't care what position he's at. You can never have too many good players.

Dez Bryant: "Whoever passes up on me, it's over with"
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 31, 2010 1:47 PM ET

Former Oklahoma State Dez Bryant's Pro Day left him open to some criticism, and the wide receiver has heard enough.

"I'm not the type of person that will try to confront somebody but now I feel like it's gone too far. It's gone too far," Bryant said to the Associated Press. "I haven't did anything wrong to nobody."

Bryant has a point. Most of the character concerns attached to him have been vague. Teams want to know how important football is to him, not if he needed a small army to help him wake up for class.

"Whoever passes up on me, it's over with. I feel like I'm going through the same situation Randy Moss did," he added. "That man had issues and teams were passing up on him, and when he got on that field, he killed them. He murdered them. Look at him today: One of the best players in the NFL."

Detractors may see these comments and say Bryant is a loose cannon. I like his confidence.

We praise Peyton Manning for telling the Colts he'd kick their ass for the next 15 years if they passed on him. Bryant essentially just told the league the same thing.

Teams will take a receiver with edge over one that's unsure of his ability. A draft-day fall is only going to motivate Bryant.

Bryant also took umbrage with our report about his missing cleats. He said he had six pairs with him, just not his favorite one. And that it may not have made a difference.

"What do this got to do with me playing football? Even if I did forget my cleats, what do that have to do with me playing football? I don't think it has anything to do with me playing football."
