As every year we have this special Mock Draft on our german message board. I took over the Packers once again and today I had my first pick.

My selection:

#23: Jerry Hughes, OLB, TCU

Unfortunately Kyle Wilson was already picked, so I decided to go with Hughes. He is just outstanding rushing the passer, a thing the Packers lacked last besides CM3. He has to improve playing the run, but Hughes/Matthews would terrorize QBs for years to come.

What do you guys think about him?

Click here for the full Mock Draft

I'll keep you updated on my selections in further rounds.

Sergio Kindle also fits the bill, as does Hughes teammate at TCU.

I don't think Daryl Washington is a 3-4 OLB. He's better suited outside in a 4-3 or inside in a 3-4. Kindle was off the board and I would have taken Hughes over Kindle anyway.

Brandon Graham is a possibility at that position too, if he makes it to 23.

I would absolutely love an offensive tackle in the first, but if no one falls to us, I wouldn't mind Graham, Kindle or Hughes or whoever is there.

Just no running backs, please.

i tried a move to get charles brown, who was falling tremendously, but i didn't have success. the colts #2 and #3 were better than my #2 and #4 i offered in this trade to the chiefs, damn it. would have liked him in this spot.

so i took morgan burnett at #56.

i think he'll help the packers a lot from the first minute. very versatile safety with good coverage skills. i like him.

That New England guy is having himself one hell of a draft.

Golden Tate, Koa Misi, Corey Wootton and Ricky Sapp. Those are some quality picks right there.

this new england guys are crititized more than enough for the draft. with this huge amount of picks in the 1st 100 they did a pretty bad job imo.

you have to remember, they had one 1st and 3 2nd. i would have ended up with jerry hughes, kareem jackson, charles brown and morgan burnett. that would have been an A type of draft. unfortunately i'm not the patriots

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.

beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.

beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
