Filed to ESPN: Seattle traded QB/WR Seneca Wallace to the Cleveland Browns. No compensation known yet. Wallce reunited with Holmgren.

So, Holmgren gets his project back. He's never been great, but he hasn't been too bad throughout his career, either.

I wonder what they gave up. If they got him for a 6th or something like that, I think that this was a pretty fair trade.

The Browns have now signed Fujita and Pashos. Boh are pretty solid guys, but nothing too crazy. Both seem like solid signings for a franchise that's pretty much in a rebuilding state. I don't see how Wallace fits in that picture just yet, but we'll see. Maybe he'll come in and become the starter.

Browns didn't give up much for Wallace

by Gregg Rosenthal

Cleveland's potential starting quarterback didn't cost much.

The Browns only gave up a 2011 seventh-round pick to Seattle for Seneca Wallace, according to Mark Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. The pick can improved to a sixth-rounder based on playing time.

We know the Seahawks didn't have much use for Wallace, but this is a steal for the Browns. Wallace is regarded higher by Cleveland than their in-house options or any free agent quarterback.

Wallace is a big part of Mike Holmgren's 2010 plans, and he obtained him for the price of a slappy to be named later.

Looking at his career stats, I'm wondering how the hell did the Seahawks want that little. He's a better QB than Hasselbeck.

I have this funny feeling that round three of Carroll's NFL experience is going to leave alot of Seahawk fans sleepless in Seattle.

Here is a guy that only bailed on USC when the NCAA starting getting serious about the program....

I say Holmgren is going to bust a move with Detroit in the draft.

Cleveland is going into the 2 hole and taking either Bradford or Clausen.

That could be a possibility.

You have a very good wildcat offense already with Cribbs. Adding Wallace to that would only make it better. He was cheap enough to come in only as a wildcat QB.

Delhomme would give you time to groom your QB or you just have a very good veteran back-up and mentor.

If he used Wallace in the wildcat, Delhomme as a mentor and drafts Clausen or Bradford, he'll be looked at like a genius.

This whole thing is just bizarre.

Is Jake friggin' Delhomme really going to collect 19.7 million this year?

There has to be some sort of clerical error that I missed along the way.

If I understand it correctly.. the Panthers don't owe the sum this season.. it has futher dates out there.. but yes.. they are on the hook for a good portion of the 12 million... future bonuses... the Browns offset some of it... but not a hell of a lot.

This is where we are going to see teams shying away from this guaranteed money past a year... especially after Peppers flames out this season.
