There used to be another one up on youtube. I think it was a Spurrier vid, as well. It had a running back hiding behind the O-line, sneaking out and picking up some decent yardage.

I looked everywhere for a more specific video.. but no luck. You'll know which play in that game highlight video that deserves to be in this thread. That was a crazy game, too.. A LOT of BS calls on both sides of the ball. I was at that game, and I'm surprised that someone didn't run onto the field and jack one of those refs.

Great find, Toddy. A lot of people pooh-pooh Division III and NAIA sports, but I am starting to think I enjoy watching them more than professional sports. The caliber of competition is just higher. There's real tackling in these divisions; there are trick plays; the action moves quicker because there aren't all the damn commercial breaks. Nothing will ever take the place of the Packers in my heart, but I think the NFL could be well served to take a step back and learn a thing or two from these other echelons of competition.

Some of these plays don't qualify as "crazy" plays, but they're fun to watch nonetheless. It's a pity TV footage from the 70s and 80s doesn't carry over well to Youtube.
