If it is Raji, look out NFL. :thumbright:

Who I'm really hoping will have a breakout year for us would be Aaron Kampman. If we can figure out a way for Kampy to generate pressure AND CM3, we'd be a whole different team. We may even be an elite D.

Justin Harrell!!!! Just kidding but wouldn't that be something.

I was gonna say Raji but besides him I think it's going to be Pat Lee. I've thought ever since he was drafted that he was a good player and hopefully he doesn't get hurt and can save our secondary. =)

I also like Brandon Underwood a lot but I think he will need another year. He needs to bulk up but he plays hard from what little I've seen and that's what I like in a CB.

I think it's going to be Raji. Finley is way to easy to say. I would argue he broke out this year anyways.

Raji, really made strides at the end of the season and was good for about one or two big plays a game. He does that over a full schedule and then things start looking even better. Plus, as he improves, he'll only help improve the entire defense. A defensive lineman that can rush the passer at NT makes things very difficult for a QB. Even the veterans struggle with that.

I'd have to go with Brad Jones, my reason being that

a) Clay Matthews has well and truly broken out. Pro Bowl selection and in the running for Rook of the year means "Stop the man with the mane"

b) Jermichael Finley - because he is so darn hard to nullify. His exposure in big games last season (Vikings/Cardinals) means he is no longer an unknown entity, but a legitimate weapon. I can imagine a lot of teams defensive gameplanning next season involving a large chunk of Jermichael.

c) TJ Lang - Will be good, but the sort of good that only Packer fans notice as we pay attention/watch every game. He won't "break out" to the rest of the league, but we will know we have a good player on our hands.

I think Brad Jones will continue to develop at a level that punches above his 7th round weight.

I hope a Pat Lee, Brandon Underwood, or Brad Jones breaks out.

As far as an NFL wide break out season, I'm going to pick Tramon Williams. With each year, especially with injuries and age chipping away at Al Harris, it gives more and more opportunity for Tramon to grow, we're all just waiting for him to fully blossom.

Yup. Imagine, we'd be one of the best run Ds in the NFL as running up the middle simply won't happen much. It would be like hitting a brick wall, for no matter how many tries, we'll have fresh DTs.

I wouldn't bet on it either though. Not getting my hopes up. Although I'm hoping Jolly serves his time and gets it over with, then grows up, Raji breaks out, and Jenkins stays healthy for the full 19 games.
