Just like an irresponsible teenager with a credit card that just doesn't seem to realize that he can't have everything he wants with no cost, we might NEED to hit rock bottom for society to realize that government simply can't...

Pay for your healthcare, pay you when you don't have a job, pay you when you buy a house, pay you for buying a solar panel when you buy your house, pay you when you can't afford your mortgage, pay your bank when they go under because you don't pay your mortgage, pay for wars in two countries at once (while funding others)...

See the problem here? The government IS supposed to serve the people, the problem is that it's become a wishing well. Only once the government is forced to shrug its shoulders and say "Sorry, I can't afford to give you x anymore" and people get past the entitlement-fueled rage, will we be able to rebuild. I fear that society's belief that everyone is entitled to, and everyone can have the American dream is too firmly entrenched.

By We you mean the baby boomer generation right? They not only spent what they inherited which was astronomical. They spent the future generations money as well. Now they all want their social security to boot. Disgraceful.

F___ crappy nursing homes. I'm thinking the tundra of northern Alaska with some tents to ride out their old age.

So, didja hear the one about the guy who decided he needed to kill all the pimps and prostitutes?

Because his doctor told him he had a strain of syphilis so virulent that, even with castration, he, and his wife and his two mistresses and the local sheep population were at best all likely headed to the loony bin within a matter of months.

Fortunately, his lawyer talked him out of his original plan. Instead, he decided he'd just run for office.

To paraphrase P J O'Rourke, if Congress et al are a govenment of whores, who are we?

The country should just file bankruptcy.
I mean.......it's not like they will EVER "pay off" ANY of the debt, right?

They pay trillions to companies that are going under (which we can't AFFORD to do) and send trillions to other countrys (which we can't afford).

And these are the SAME clowns that say "Put your healthcare in OUR hands! WE will take care of you!!!" And we're supposed to trust THEM!?!?

They (our trusty government) thinks WE have bottomless pockets that they can just keep digging into.

(rant over..................for now)

I ws born the last year of the boomer generation (1963), and am ashamed to be lumped with this bunch of whiney fucks. Sadly, the "greatest generation" produced this lot. Recovering from their lives of poverty prior to and during the depression, they spared nothing in providing excess to their children...in essence, living vicariously through their children.

I bought less house than I can afford; have zero payments but my mortgage; have worked and EARNED since the age of 10;and have saved/invested since I was 25...sacrificing the wants/joys of the moment for my long term security. And for what? So this bunch of grown children can pillage my hard work further.

Today in MPLS...we are building bike paths and paying $500,000 for water fountains (10 @ $50k each...bronze art, they say) to promote MPLS water...all the while cutting cops, plowing, and asking us to pay for streetlights to be turned on.

The children are running the show, folks...hang on.

One of the reason I am humored by some that want to point the finger of blame directly at Obama, or Bush for that fact.. this issue has been growing for decades.. when the citizens and government of this country decided to live upon credit alone..

We can bitch and moan, point all the fingers of blame at those running the government... we would only be partially correct in my opinion.

Until we as a nation of citizens learn to live within our means.. and properly manage our spending and debt.. we will continue down this path of destruction...

We are consuming ourselves on the home front, yet we are still trying to be the savior of the world with our armed forces.. yet we are slow to the draw on getting help to those that truly need in Haiti.

We have our priorities skewed to say the freaking least.

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : If the exploit is not fixed, we'll see tons of "50 top free agents, 50 perfect NFL team fits: We picked where each should sign in March" lo
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Issue should be solved, database cleaned and held strong working / meeting. Boom!
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
